Update 5/5/23 They now let hotel shuttles and off airport parking drop you off by the doors on level 1. MUCH better than it was previously. However you will still have quite a walk to get to the B gates so make sure you arrive early so you do not miss your flight. They also have several more options for food. No fast food still except maybe panda express and cafe rio.

The new airport is beautiful! The new airport security process is amazing! There are tons of restrooms. A lot of new eating establishments.

A little background on myself, I am at the airport 4-6 times a month for my job so I am fairly familiar with the workings of the airport from a travelers point of view.

Just a few things to be aware of.

1st- If you park offsite you are going to have a major walk to get your luggage checked in! I have 4 kids so this is going to be a major haul with car seats, boosters, luggage and trying to get the 4 year old to keep up! 1st you walk through the rental car center, up an escalator, then walking several more hundred feet to get to another escalator so you can just check in your bags etc. NOT CONVENIENT at all.

When I emailed airport management they said it was the industry standard to have patrons who park offsite to walk that far. I traveled a lot and I think this is one of the worst if not the worst airport for having to haul your luggage across utah just to get it checked in. The most frustrating thing about it is they absolutely could drop us off right at the door, but their reasoning to not, is because of traffic flow! They already cut that in half by having departures and arrivals on seperate levels. So this is obviously just an excuse.

2nd- They have a Cafe Rio but there is NO fast food. I am sure some people are ok with this but when you have larger families it is nice to have some more faster inexpensive options. I will say that the cafe rio did not seem to be much higher than outside of the airport.

3rd- If your flight is leaving from terminal B you need to leave at least 20 min earlier (longer if you have kids). They have moving walkways but it is still quite a walk to get to your gates.

Overall the airport is amazing but I have such a bad taste for the way the handled the parking for people who park offsite they are lucky I gave them 3 stars. Oh by the way, where you are dropped off and where you wait for your shuttle is covered but you are out in the elements so you will be exposed to wind, rain, snow etc! You will be sitting outside waiting for your shuttle! There are NO close warm places to wait!

Sorry google moved my pictures around. I will number...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently had the pleasure of traveling through Salt Lake City Airport, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the airport's stunning architecture and clean, modern design. The spacious layout, natural lighting, and beautiful artwork throughout the terminal truly set the tone for a pleasant journey.

One of the highlights for me was the efficient car pick-up service. The process was seamless; before I knew it, I was comfortably seated in my rental car, ready to explore Salt Lake City. The staff at the car rental desk were incredibly friendly and professional, ensuring that everything was handled quickly and smoothly.

As I navigated the airport, I was consistently impressed by the courteous and helpful staff. Every interaction, from security to ticketing to customer service, was a testament to their commitment to making travelers feel welcome and at ease. It's clear that they take pride in their work and genuinely care about the passenger experience.

The variety of food options available was also a pleasant surprise. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a sit-down meal, the range of restaurants and cafes is outstanding. I enjoyed a delicious meal at one of the eateries, and it was great to see so many local and international cuisines represented. The quality of the food was top-notch, which is often hard to find in an airport setting.

One of the most unique amenities I discovered was the option to get a foot massage while waiting for my flight. This delightful service allowed me to relax and unwind before boarding. It was the perfect way to pass the time, and I left feeling rejuvenated. The massage therapists were skilled and professional, offering a much-needed dose of relaxation during my travel.

In summary, Salt Lake City Airport far exceeded my expectations. From its beautiful design to its efficient services, friendly staff, and ample amenities, it is clear why this airport is highly regarded. Whether you're in transit or starting your adventure in Salt Lake City, this airport sets the standard for a positive travel experience. I highly recommend flying through SLC whenever possible and look forward to...

Having flown into and out of this airport well over a dozen times over the last year, and having experienced many other airports, I'm growing to really appreciate this airport. It is newly remodeled and feels very modern; I enjoy some of the architectural details. The bathrooms are constantly the cleanest and most spacious of any airport I've been in recently, and they are all conveniently located (it's never hard or a long walk to find a bathroom). The customer service has always been acceptable. The layout is very efficient and there's really no way to get lost or turned around; really only one way in and one way out, always ended up right where you need to be.

Security is always fast. I've never had to wait more than a few min, especially with TSA PreCheck. Even then, I've rarely seen a wait for the main security line.

There are lots of food options; a little bit of everything. They are almost all on the gate side of security, which is awesome if you're here on a layover or are early for your flight... but it's less convenient if you're arriving and need to exit security to get to baggage claim on time. On our recent flight in, we were needing food when we landed and by the time we got our food and got to baggage claim, our bags had already been pulled off the conveyors and taken to customer service. Not the end of the world, and I'm not sure if there's a solution; it just has pros and cons.

Our Delta baggage always is very quick, waiting for us at baggage claim by the time we can get there.

The biggest downside for many, but that doesn't bother me, is that there is a lot of walking. It helps that they have moving walkways that are rarely out of service, but they don't have any motorized tram or anything like that. Just the walk from concourse A to B is a quarter mile long. Again, not an issue for me, but would be if you're late for a flight or have mobility issues.

Overall, happy to call this my local international airport. It's a...

#ad Is anyone else excited that @Southwest Airlines is changing to assigned seating? Their assigned seating will be available for purchase late summer and expected to begin early 2026. Here’s some reasons I’m excited about the change: -I don’t have to worry about our family not sitting together if we’re running late -No more pressure to check in exactly 24 hours early to get a good boarding spot -I don’t have to awkwardly ask people “Is this seat taken” -New options for seating like extra leg room If you want to learn more about Southwest’s new assigned seating, check out the link in my bio! #SouthwestAssignedSeating #travelfamily #travelingwithkids #flyingwithkids
