
Very cool art, but customer service is abysmal. If you don’t ever have to talk to them, great. If you do, go elsewhere.
Bottom line, Kyla created confusion and didn't read emails. Then Wendy doubled down on it when we had an extremely simple ask.
We reached out about a custom engraved globe for our Anniversary and unfortunately had to deal with Kyla. We wanted to know what it would take to do our own design (including asking for the specs), and weren’t given much guidance other than to send what we wanted and the size of the base. My husband has done graphic design so he created a vector image well within the size constraints she outlined, after looking at designs on the website to identify what similar elements could work. Kyla couldn’t open the vector image and she said the design was too complicated but, provided us a quote. First, it was because there was a circular border and that it couldn’t be reliably centered. Also, the text being too small. We asked again for more specifics on the process (or if we could talk to something that did) so we could figure out what the constraints actually were as her guidance didn’t make much sense. He made modifications, including not making it a complete border. She first, didn’t respond and we had to follow up. After which she sent it back with even more elements removed (furthering confusion) and said sorry, too complicated go elsewhere. If we wanted it to work, had to remove anything along the edge and bleed out the design. Her feedback didn’t make any sense as it was first about centering and then text being too small….but supposedly a small boat could be engraved? So, for the third time, we asked for what is/is not possible and if she didn’t know, could we talk to someone that did. Yet again, she dismissed us and said go elsewhere , still caught up on the old design. We had to clarify again that we were willing to do something different if she could give us more than “this won’t work.” We never once weren’t willing to pay for it, nor did we ever intend to make it complicated. She even said, at that point, that it doesn’t fit the business model. Which, not sure how that works when it’s an art company that sells unique/custom globes. Given that was 17+ email exchanges later, it came off as more she just didn’t want to deal with it. Then, Wendy reached out and said that they don’t take customer’s designs, they do it themselves. So why on Earth did Kyla waste our time if that’s the business model? Just set expectations up front, it’s literally that simple. And playing a game of telephone with customers is the quickest way to create confusion and frustration.
When Wendy reached out, we her if we could just get a plain globe instead, and she again responded that they couldn’t make it work. Clearly not reading what was asked. Kyla’s, and later Wendy’s, insistence on not helping come up with a solution, condescending comments, lack of customer service and blatant dismissal made it an awful experience. And, we didn’t end up making a purchase because they decided to just blow us off without ever understanding what we were trying to achieve or, offering an alternative. Or offering just a regular globe, which we would have been ok with! Awful response to what was a misunderstanding rooted is confusion and poor...

My wife purchased a framed mountain bike destination map from them (as an Xmas gift for me) and it is very well designed - and looks TOTALLY COOL! I will be able to use the included pins to mark off destinations as completed. I saw a few maps online that allow you to check off destinations, but none that were specific to mountain biking besides this one. I reached out to Kyla, who immediately stepped in, looked into the situation, followed up with the postal service, and even went as far out of her way as to make a new globe for my us.
