Terrible Service

If it were possible I would probably rate this place a zero. My wonderful wife had planned a nice relaxing weekend getaway. She had chosen for us to have a great meal at Cucina Sa.

When we arrived they sat us in an area that had NO AC. We asked if they could turn on the AC and then they told us it was broken. We asked to be moved to an area in the restaurant where they had air conditioning. They said everything was reserved but found us a table by the window in front of the restaurant.

All of a sudden a cockroach fell from the ceiling and onto the table. I had informed the manager she might have cockroaches and dismissively told us “We don’t have cockroaches it could be some other bug. We have trees in front of our restaurant”.

We immediately asked to be moved and then the manager attempted to move us back to the area where the AC was broken. We told her we don’t want to sit there and she said with frustration “Well it’s Saturday and we are fully booked. This is what we have. Keep in mind some other customers that must be regulars requested to be moved to another part of the restaurant and were given a nice place to sit away from the window with no issue.

They finally moved us again to the air conditioned part of the restaurant to a similar table next to a window. We patiently waited for a server to take our order and one of the servers grabbed our glasses of water from the cockroach table and slammed them down and walked away. At this point my wife and I stood up and left.

It was a chilly evening and we had reservations outside. I called to move inside but could not but was assured it was sheltered with heaters outside. "I can guarantee you will not be cold".

This turned out to be wrong. We froze waiting through terrible service. They forgot to bring the brusheta and forgot about us. We could not even catch the waitress by waving at her. The food did appear eventually (two dishes, then two dishes and then one dish over a ten minute period). The. Pollo Sciilliano was good but the rest was mediocre. Never been so be so neglected and cold in a restaurant. Truly terrible service. Do not book a table outside as it is a drafty alleyway where the wind seems to sweep down. The heaters are inadequate.

I thank the owner for recognizing the problem and volunteering tp cover the cost. Unfortunately money cannot compensate for a planned evening with two grandparents and three grandchildren. We have had good experiences with this restaurant in warmer weather. So let's say this was an aberration. But please beware being outside at this restaurant in...

Had a great meal here on Father's Day. Great location for a larger family dinner (there were 10 of us), and the menu is varied enough to make the 10 years and the 50 year olds all happy. Food was delicious and the service was great. My husband happened to leave his Father's Day gift at the restaurant by mistake, and we were very delayed in getting back to the restaurant to get it. When we finally made it back, about 3 weeks later, Donna the owner, was unable to find it. Took my name and number and told me she would look thoroughly the next day. By 10am the next morning, I got a call, and she was online ordering it for me and having it sent to my house because she could not find it! Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty! I will definitely be back not only for the fabulous food but the amazing client care. Thank you...
