Valenti & Co. Ristorante — Restaurant in San Anselmo

This place is so much more than amazing food, it's an experience in excellence. I haven't experienced service like this in a very long time. My husband and I each ordered a glass of wine, but once I tasted his, I didn't want mine. The waiter noticed I was sipping on my husband's glass and he brought me a glass of what he was having. I was impressed at the waiter's level of attention. We mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary and to my surprise we were given top notch wine and a cake to celebrate. The wine, the cake, and the 1st glass of wine that I didn't care for were not on our bill. Not to mention that the food was phenomenal! I returned a few months later, and had to amend my review below. The food and service (from the chef himself) were outstanding.

Open until 10 pm hugely misleading. Called at 9:20 to ask if an order could be placed in 5 minutes, told no, kitchen already closed. Arrived at San Anselmo Inn at 9:25 went to room to put away work bag, decided to have a cocktail before picking up dinner across the street at 9:40 (a place willing to accommodate despite listed as closed at 9:30) and the response -- at 9:30 at Valenti -- was that the bar was closed. The owner grudgingly said he would pour beer or wine but there was no way I was going to inconvenience him with my money. I walked out and enjoyed a great salad and Pinot Noir at the other restaurant that "officially"...

This is a small restaurant but when my family of 6 came in without reservations for dinner we were welcomed and seated immediately. The waiter gave us the recommendations for the night and we made our selections. Listen my family likes to eat so we order quite a bit of food and was not disappointed. Their fettuccine Alfredo was absolutely delicious very light not heavy on the sauce. I guess that's why we order 4 of them. 😆 anyway everything we order was cooked fresh.
