My first impression of Concorde Career College was far from positive. I arrived for a scheduled appointment and was not greeted or acknowledged by the two staff members at the front desk. I was made to feel like I didn’t belong, despite having a confirmed appointment for the Sterile Processing Technician program.
The first advisor I met with was not attentive. I had to repeat myself multiple times, and the conversation was focused heavily on financial aid, even after I clearly stated I intended to pay out of pocket. As I was being led to take the Wonderlic assessment, I was placed back in the waiting area, where there was a strong smell of marijuana—completely unprofessional and concerning for a healthcare training environment.
After taking the assessment and scoring a 21 (well above the required score of 8), I was told by a second advisor that I would have to retest because they were giving priority to students with higher scores due to class space. This inconsistency raised further red flags.
Lastly, I received an enrollment email that required me to sign off on items like completing a tour and viewing the classroom and equipment—none of which actually happened. This was misleading and unacceptable.
Based on my experience, I’ve decided that Concorde is not the right fit for me. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and overall atmosphere did not reflect the standards I expect from a healthcare-focused institution. I appreciate the experience, though—it clearly showed me the kind of environment I do not want...
Read moreI am a student in the MOA program and my experience at concorde I would say it has been amazing. The staff are always willing to help the students to help them succeed and answer any questions they have.If anyone ever has a bad day Stacie and Mari are always open to donating some of their time to the students and help them talk about any issues that they need help with in their personal life. The instructors are very aware of their students and make sure that each and everyone is passing their classes. If you need to find a job in order to survive while attending school Ms.Danielle is always open to helping those who need to find one.Since my second MOD I have been a member of the lamplighter program which is a student leadership program where students help one another including their peers in class and help mentor them as well as help them in anything they need.We lamplighters are always at the service of students and staff if there is ever anything they need help with.
If anyone is interested you can come to the campus and make an appointment and explore the campus feel free to go on the website and take a look at the programs we at concorde...
Read moreIf I could leave 0 stars I would. I’ve had it with financial aid. They are never on the right page, never know what the fees are, never know where your money goes. You can ask Jamie a question and she’ll give you a total. Martin will give you a whole different total and Adrienne (who now works at the Dallas campus.) “helped” all the dental hygiene students apply for Sallie Mae and once we got approved, we all realized it was not for the correct amount! A lot of us have been struggling financially and have been unable to work due to the fact that this program is full time and requires a lot of studying and we also have to find our patients for clinic. This school is super unorganized. Had I known that financial aid would be a problem and that I would be in debt with OVER $100k, I would’ve waited to get accepted into a community college even if that meant I had to wait YEARS to get in. Also, the girls at the front desk are super rude. I’m sure I’ll post something else when I...
