Yesterday my wife and I had the pleasure of taking a wine tour with Matt. We visited 2 wineries, Sister Lake and Kalasi. On our way to the wineries Matt was a fountain of knowledge about San Antonio, the state of Texas, it's history and the making of wine in Texas and especially in Texas Hill country. At Sister Lake winery he gave a detailed account of it's operation and enjoyed the wine tasting. Of course we purchased a bottle of our choice. We then drove to the second winery Kalasi and enjoyed the wine tasting and again purchased a bottle of our choice. The tour was one of the best we've experienced and that's down to Matt. Thoroughly recommend taking this tour if in the San Antonio area. Thanks again Matt. Graham and Sue.

Correction to my review. It should read 'Sister Creek Vineyard'. Apologies to the...

We booked the private label tour for my wife's birthday. In making the online inquiry, I was almost in constant contact with Brandy and the booking was very easy.

On the day of our tour Dianna arrived at our hotel on time and gave us a history of the wine region on our way to the first winery. We started at Sister Creek where we had an excellent tasting experience. Then, after a quick stop in Luckenbach, we were off to the Texas Wine Collective where we had another fantastic tasting with their sommelier. A late lunch was in Fredericksburg - everyone was now getting tired after all that wine, so we headed back to San Antonio. This was an over-the-top day for my wife and her sister - and Dianna made it...

Mel was a super star of a guide/driver: personable, prepared, thoughtful--just plain sharp! Wine tasting venues were interesting and a nice bucolic getaway from the madding crowds of the city. But sorely disappointed with Fredericksburg. Of course, we saw only the main drag, which consisted mainly of kitschy tourist establishments. But even had there been more to the town--as surely there must be--the time constraints left almost no time both to explore and to find a spot at one of the crowded eateries. At the same time, the 7-hours allocated for the tour is a sweet spot since you don't want to get back to the city exhausted. So kind of a Catch-22! Still, we're glad we went; it was an overall...

I had the most wonderful wine tour with Matthew, who was very knowledgeable about the wine-making process and Texas Hill Country. He brought me to 3 wineries (Sister Creek, Hilmy & Bingham), where I tasted almost 20 different wines. Matthew was attentive to details - he had a cooler in his van to store the guest's purchased bottles of wine and protect them from the hot weather, and would adjust the sequence for Fredericksburg (where lunch is) based the guest's breakfast situation. The tour itinerary also seems well thought through and balanced in its curation (e.g. 2 hrs in Fredericksburg was just nice for lunch and light shopping). I would highly recommend Cottonwood Wine Tours.

We can't even begin to express in words what a pleasurable experience Brandy gave us. We took the Hill Country Aficianado tour as part of our honeymoon. Brandy was full of information and best thing, was not "set" on specific wineries. She literally "winged it" based on what she saw were our likes at the first stop. The 4 locations were absolutely perfect choices. She nearly made the entire honeymoon when she made a short stop in Luckenbach for us! I would HIGHLY recommend to everyone and can't wait to take another tour if we get back to Texas!!

A-1 experience from start to finish. Brandy was great to work with and Matt was an amazing tour guide. Sisters Creek Vineyard was our first stop. They had a wide selection of wines to fit a variety of palates. We visited the Fredericksburg area for a wine tasting and time to explore the town, and finished our tour by visiting 2 more wineries. Cottonwood Wine Tours is a family run business and you can tell they take pride in making sure the customer is happy! I'd definitely recommend them for a wine tour if you're in the area!
