Went there today just to look around and was being racially profiled as soon as I entered by a person wearing all grey, black glasses, nose piercings, and dyed hair. She asked me if I had been downstairs (where there was cheaper stores), as if I shouldn’t have been in the store to begin with. I didn’t think it was a big deal until I went to the clearance section and was asked if I needed any of the items from the store held up front because it might be heavy. Mind you, I only had a necklace and a shirt that I had just picked up from the rack, all of it being lightweight. I told them it wasn’t heavy, but allowed them to hold the necklace and shirt, again shrugging it off as a coincidence. It wasn’t until the third time, when they asked me if I needed a sticker and headband held, that I knew this wasn’t protocol. Out of all the other customers that were there, that also had more than four small items that were bulky on n size, I was the only one asked if I needed anything held up front and constantly being monitored for no reason. The other person who checked out my stuff (in a sublime t-shirt) who was asked if any of this was protocol, didn’t give a direct answer, and just blown off. For a place that is known for it’s customer service and positive energy, I definitely expected more. Please fix the bias...

Visited right when the store opened last Sunday, 3/28. I chatted a bit with the clerk who was there and it seemed like we got on well. I believe her name was something like Amanda or Ashley. I browsed and was nearly done shopping when I decided to choose a stone from the display near the entrance. Immediately the same clerk came up and started watching me like a hawk and her demeanor completely changed. I took my time and made my choice, and purchased everything for full price with the clerk. The selection is nice, the store is clean and well organized, and most things are fairly priced, but I didn't appreciate being treated like a thief. I was well dressed, carrying my purse with my means of payment and didn't act out of the ordinary. Maybe try moving the stone display away from the entrance if you're worried about it. I don't think I'll be...
Read moreStory time: In April I went into this store just to look around and was greeted nicely by one tall female transgender employee. I felt genuinely welcomed by this greeting as I continued to peruse the store until after only looking for one minute I was asked “Do you need anymore help making your decision”. I told her no. I walked to another part of the store and in no time at all the same clerk asked me if I was “sure” I didn’t need any help. I’ve worked in retail so I know getting asked this much is definitely a polite way of profiling so to test it out I walked across to the opposite side of the store and I caught in my peripheral vision the same clerk doing an immediate spin to walk towards me. I checked the reviews of this location just to see if I was being crazy but no there’s definitely a profiler here at this store. Idk if it was because I’m darker skinned (the employee looked to be Hispanic so that would be a shame) but I won’t be going to this...
