⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fresh AYCE Sushi in San Antonio 🍣🔥
We checked out this new all-you-can-eat sushi spot and had a great experience from start to finish. Walked in, seated right away, greeted with smiles — no wait, no stress. The restaurant feels clean, modern, and welcoming. Service was kind and easygoing the whole night.
We sampled just about everything (probably overdid it, but that’s the fun of AYCE 😅). Standouts for us: • 🥢 Crispy rice with spicy tuna — the perfect combo of crunch + heat. • 🥗 Poke and Albacore salads — fresh fish, bright sauces, and plenty of protein. • 🦪 Oysters and mussels — oysters were fresh, mussels had a unique flavor that set them apart from the usual SA sushi. • 🥩 Steak tataki — tender, flavorful, and honestly one of the best bites of the night. • 🍣 Rolls & sashimi — generous cuts, quality fish, with the spicy tuna roll leading the pack. • 🥓 Pork belly teriyaki — simple but amazing, definitely the appetizer highlight. • 🍹 East Blue Old Fashioned — balanced and creative, worth trying if you enjoy cocktails.
What really made this place stand out: the sauces and flavors tasted like they were made in-house, not the cookie-cutter style you see at so many other AYCE places around town. Portions were solid, prices felt fair, and the variety made it easy for everyone at the table to find favorites.
Yes, we had a couple of rolls that didn’t show up and the ordering process could’ve been explained better, but neither issue ruined the night. With how much we ordered, those small things weren’t a big deal.
Bottom line: For about $31.95 a person (Sunday dinner), it’s fresh, filling, and fun. This spot has a lot of potential, and we’ll definitely be back. Big shoutout to the staff and chefs running things with a small crew — you made it a...

I had such a great experience at East Blue Sushi! The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, and every staff member I interacted with was incredibly friendly.
One thing I really appreciate is how Deaf-friendly this place is. You can mark your order and quantity on a sheet—no need to communicate verbally with the server. That makes it so much easier and more accessible for Deaf customers. Huge kudos for that!
Our waiter, Boby, was amazing—he kept checking in to make sure we were okay and offered refills with a smile. Super attentive and kind!
🍣 Pro tip: Start with one or two rolls and take it easy—you might be full before you know it! The portion sizes are generous, so no need to over-order. Trust me, I was surprised how quickly I got full. 😄
Compared to other places, East Blue’s sushi is bigger and tastes fantastic. No complaints at all!
Just a heads-up: lunch and dinner menus have different pricing, and weekends follow the dinner menu. Dinner offers more variety, so plan accordingly. I’ve attached the menu for reference.
I took tons of pictures because everything looked so good. I’ll definitely be coming back—this...
Read moreCame to try the new AYCE sushi place in the area. Maybe I was hoping for more than what I thought it would be. First off, the ambience was great, did like the decor. Server was very polite while I was there.
For the food, I was not very impressed. I tried all sorts of things, from the apps to certain rolls. Also all the appetizers had green onion on it and the rice crispy even had red onion on it. No where does it state that is on anything and the server did not warn me. I really wished they would have said it was on it before i literally had to remove it on everything I tried. As for the Ikura (salmoe roe) it was really bland, not like it was fresh. The scallops were the little baby scallops you get frozen or somewhere elses so they were bland as well. Lastly, the spicy tuna, was not a big fan of at all. it was like a premade paste not chopped up tuna mixed with
Maybe it is because they are new and...
