Extremely rude staff, including the manager. Restaurant was empty with no cars in the drive thru except mine. I placed my order and tried to order extra salsa ranch and was told "that comes with"... employee did not give me any salsa ranch. Okay, fine. I tried to flag anyone down just to request the salsa but the kitchen was entirely empty so instead I just parked and went inside to get it from the salsa bar.
When I got home I realized that my food was made incorrectly. Since there's an upcharge for cheese I decided to go back to the store to try and get it resolved. Again the store was completely empty, no one in the drive thru, and yet I couldn't find a single employee. So I waited for about 5 min and finally an employee exits the office, looks me directly in the eye, then says nothing, walks past me and goes to sit at a table in the restaurant area. Again, maybe just on her break, but it would've been nice if she could have taken 2 sec to tell anyone I was waiting up front. Another 5min goes past of me waiting to be helped, finally a lady who was in the kitchen walks around and notices me waiting at the registers for assistance... and she continues to sip her drink and finish her conversation with whoever else is in the kitchen before coming over.
This lady was apparently the manager, yet no "sorry to keep you waiting" or anything polite, she just says "what do you want". I explain to her the issue with my food, she unwraps all the food and touches it, then walks back onto the kitchen, puts the missing ingredients in a small container, sets it on the food, and walks back into the kitchen and does not return.
I've worked in the food service industry before... I tried to be understanding about maybe they're understaffed, maybe they're not on the clock, maybe, maybe, maybe... but I just don't have any way to dismiss how rude ever single person was along with the fact that I was the only person in the restaurant at all. From the very beginning to the end of my interaction I felt completely unwanted, dismissed, and intentionally ignored. I will never, ever go back to this chain again if this standard of behavior is okay for them not just at their lowest levels but among management. And that's honestly a shame because I want to support Texas businesses and I've been a fan of TC...
Read moreThe food is hit or miss. Just depends on which employee(s) are preparing the order. The customer service could be better. I wouldn't say any of the employees have been flat out rude to me. They just aren't very attentive or friendly. Many of them act like they just aren't happy at all to be there. A few times, I have gone in there and I'm standing at the counter to order and nobody comes up to help me. What is worse, they just look at me standing there for a couple minutes. I've had my order messed up multiple times. Also, they never include salsa with the order...they don't even ask if you'd like some!! Why do they even spend the time making all those great salsas if they aren't going to include them with the food!! I mean, really, who in Texas eats tacos/any Tex-Mex food without salsa??!!! Even when I order on the app, I'm asked what salsa I want with each item and I still never get salsa!!! Sometimes I check the bag but I don't always think about it. I know I should (because of past experiences) but really I shouldn't have to because it should always be included or at least asked if I want some. So upsetting to get home and be looking forward to eating my tasty tacos and have no salsa to put on them....grrr!!! Also, most times, they don't include napkins! Seriously?! Very frustrating!! Another issue I have encountered multiple times is when I order on the app and pickup inside. They don't put the receipt on the bag. How is anyone supposed to know which order is their order?!! I went in one time to pick up my order and there were no other customers in the store and I pick up the one bag on the mobile order shelves. One of the employees tells me "wrong order sir". Of course there is no receipt on the bag but I figured it was mine since there was nobody else in the store. I'm thinking that my thought process was logical. I guess not lol! Also, I'm thinking how in the world did she know that wasn't my order?!!! Bottom line is...this location has a lot they need...
Read moreI walked inside around 7a to order to go and was not acknowledged. The 2 employees working there looked at me, didn't say anything, and waited a little over 5 minutes to come and ask whether it's to go or for here. The lady in front of me was handed her food and i was still ignored. The cashier who was also the drive thru attendant was rude, she snapped at me that my card strip didn't work and told me she can only do so much with a non working card. (I tried offering her another card before she said this so she didn't have to keep trying and she ignored me). I'm standing there waiting for my order afterwards at the front and the other worker places my order on the "online order pick up" area so im thinking it's for someone else. He waits until after I get on my phone 5 minutes of my food sitting there to say "ma'am that's your tacos right there". I just want to know why I was treated so badly here yet the customer in front of me had no problem getting her food handed to her at the counter while she patiently waits. Yet my food isn't even handed to me it's placed on the counter behind the cash register and being talked at not talked to. It's really terrible that you're treating the younger generation like trash just for trying to get breakfast...
