Whataburger — Restaurant in San Antonio

UPDATE

After posting the bad review of the chili burger below, I was contacted by Whataburger. I returned and they replaced my order with the current special the sweet and spicy burger. This time the onion rings came out cooked perfect, the burger had excellent flavor and plenty of sauce and toppings on it.

This was a burger that I would return for, the previous burger I had was one that left me feeling short changed. I appreciate the location manager for taking care of the issue.

My most recent visit I tried the chili burger they are currently offering, I ordered it as a combo with onion rings. The onion rings were noticeably over cooked. The burger was lacking in the chili area, just a little bit, I guess if you didnt want it to be messy at all then you barely put any chili on it. But seeing how this combo was over $11, I was disappointed by the flavor, and my overcooked onion rings.

Probably one of the most disappointing meals Ive got from Whataburger.

I visit this location sometimes once a month or so. Over the past 2 years Ive only experienced 1 or 2 problems, which were corrected at the window.

We've eaten at this  Whataburger location  numerous times.  It is   off of Hwy 1604 access road.   Personally believe Whataburgers everywhere  have higher standards of sanitation, service and food quality than most other  hamburger outlets.  We were greeted by a cashier who took our order which was later delivered to our table by a member of the  kitchen staff.  He offered  condiments from a tray and asked if we needed anything else.  As a cheap date, we used a coupon in the trasaction.   By buying any hamburger combo from Items 1 - 5 on the menu board,  we received  a free Swiss Mushroom Burger.   Added onion,  lettuce, & tomato to my free burger.  She did not charge me  for the  added vegetables.   Overall for the #2 Double Burger Combo and swiss mushroom burger, we paid $8.27.  Not advertising for Whataburger,  but  WOW  What A Burger!  1,100 Calories.    It was drippingly  delicious.   My only two negatives:   a couple weeks ago wanted to eat at Whataburger after  opening time.  They were closed with no explanation on the door.    Their trash receptacles are poorly designed.   There is only a small slit to empty your tray in the trash can which  is sitting too high.  Barely room for a large unfinished drink & tray to smoothly enter and be deposited.  It was a good...

Came through and placed an order with only 1 combo on it. Waited not too long as two cars in front on my lane were processed. I paid for my food at 6:21pm. Then proceeded to sit at the window for literally 11 minutes waiting for my food. Two other cars on the other lane get their food and leave. I had a burger with avacado added, nothing complicated. As I am about to just ask for a refund they finally bring my food. My concern is that they cleared the order and it was forgotten and sitting there so I ask the lady in a manager shirt ( khaki button up) if it's fresh. Gives me a word look and says yes. I ask again is everything fresh? Because I've been waiting for over 10 minutes at the window. Instead of answering or offering even a hint of an apology, she just asks if I want any salt or ketchup with my order. I run a restaurant of my own and would be appalled if I thought any of my employees handled a situation like that. I rarely leave reviews but this visit was very frustrating.
