I passed by this playground and it looked nice from far. I decided to meet some friends here for a play date. When we got closer it was far from looking good. There was quite a few people already there. Alot of barefooted children, I'm not sure why. It's one of those playgrounds that looks like there is no upkeep. The park did have a shade over the play area but no seats in the shade. Even though there was many garbage cans to dispose of your trash, visitors have left there trash on the ground in the play area. Adults were sitting on the children's play area, restricting their play. They have a porter potty, unfortunately my daughter had to tinkle. The smell was horrific, and there was defecation on and around the plastic seat. I understand this park might be convenient for some but I would rather travel to a nice clean park and luckily san antonio has many. Even the Hemisphere which is down town and has so much foot traffic...
Read moreI like the activities for kids. it's good for toddlers and older kids. Has porta pottys. Thats kinda a downside, but at least they have them. I took my soon here at least 3 times a week while I visited family. I love the fact the playground area is shaded, and the floor is well maintained with the soft cushion material. Plus the playground has challenging things for kids to do. I had to help my 3yr old with a few things, but the more he did them, the less he needed me. Imthisnplace has a trail with free exerice equipment. Also a baseball park, and a large area to fly kites. Picture I'm attaching is us flying a kite. Gotta stand way away from the power lines. Also my son loves trains, and there's train tracks on the other side of this park. It's perfect. I wish I had a park like this...
Read moreSmall, but a long walking path and a great play area for kids. The long walking path allows for wide open grassy areas, with a small dirt baseball field to one side. The long path couples well with the three pokestops and single gym for those that still play Pokemon Go. There are even plenty of benches and tables with grills for small family cookouts. The only issue is the portable toilet is filthy even by Portapotty standards. Whoever manages the park needs to have it serviced more often - at least once a day. If you need to sit to go, or you have young kids that lack height/coordination, I recommend just going back home if it's nearby, going down the road to the nearest gas station, or even down Woodlake Parkway to the nearby...
