I have taken my son here twice. I have 3 kids and 20+ years experience working in Healthcare. The first time, the Doctor asked me if my son had a fever at any time that he was sick. I told him yes. He asked me what was the temp. I told him I didn't know. I didn't need to take his temp. I already knew he had a fever. He said, how do you know he had a fever if you didn't take his temp (in a very condescending manner)? Uhm, because I'm a mom and I know when my child has a fever. He diagnosed him with a cold. No medicine or anything. The next day I took him to his regular doctor. He was put on antibiotics and given albuterol and a nebulizer machine because of his congestion.
I went back with my son about a week ago because his Doctors office was closed when the daycare notified me that my son wasn't feeling well. There was 1 person there in front of us. 1 person, no one else. We sat there for an hour waiting for them to call my son back. They asked why I hadn't given him medicine for his fever. Mind you, I picked him up from daycare and went straight there, then sat in the waiting room for an hour. Doctor comes in and I tell him he had just gotten over the flu and now has a upper respiratory infection which he usually always gets after being sick because of him having enlarged tonsils. He gets a lot of green mucus draining from.his sinuses. He tells me green mucus being a sign of an infection is a myth and he doesn't have a upper respiratory infection because kids his age don't have sinuses. Then said it was an ear infection (he hadn't checked his ears yet). I said, thats odd. He always has an upper respiratory infection and has never had an ear infection. He then does the exam and hes jamming the otoscope so far in my sons ear that he's squirming. He says, yep, looks like an ear infection starting. So we left with that being the diagnosis. Took him to his regular Doctor the next day. He was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and there was no sign of an ear infection.
It just amazes me how they were always wrong with their diagnosis and treatment, yet so condescending and not wanting to listen to parents who know their children. I likely won't be back unless there are no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy overall experience was good, being a walkin patient with my daughter I understood a wait time would occur and was prepared for it (waited a little over 1 hour to be seen). However my ONLY complaint was when I walked into the building no actual worker helped me (sign in/ask me if I've ever been to that clinic) being that it was my FIRST time going to this urgent care clinic i was unaware that i needed to sign in with a tablet. Usually the clincs ive gone too tell me hi, welcome me in and have me sign a few papers and ask for insurance etc.. i ended up having a patience's father helped me and tell me I needed to sign in with the tablet from there you get a text message and finish your paper work via your own cell phone. (Front Desk: Yoli Z). Once I got seen it was a smooth process , the medical assistant (Desiree, Amanda) were great! Treated my daughter and myself very nicely. The provider (Dr. Rodriguez) was also very kind and paid attention to my concerns. They had to run some test which was about a 20 minute wait, after results were provided they informed me what steps to take to ensure my daughter gets better and prescribed medicine (which was super quick to be sent to my pharmacy) overall I do recommend this place however be prepared for the front line worker/s not to be very customer friendly. They rather you do everything online (which is fine) but being more friendlier would be my suggestion and recommendation. I know NOW if I were to use them again I will just have to schedule an appointment via my phone/mobile...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReally disappointed in the staff who cleaned up the room after we left (yesterday) I accidentally left my james avery ring on the bed because I was cleaning my daughters face. my mistake for leaving it behind but who ever cleaned rook decided to pocket my ring. shame on that person. instead of being a decent human being and doing the right thing. They keep what you leave behind. Beware of staff, someone has sticky fingers. DO THE RIGHT THING AND TURN MY RING BACK IN!!!! When I called the person who cleaned the room didnt want to come to the phone and talk to me to clear their name.š¤ and I know it was there because I had taken my daughter straight home while I went to work. When I got to work was when I realized where I last left it and it was at YOUR office.
12/20/19 UPDATE: Lillie or Ellie (cant tell this person is not clear on my voicemail) called and tried to tell me the same BS I already knew. Everybody there claiming nobody has my ring. I know where i set it down that day. Thank you Lillie (its sarcasm) for wasting not only your time but you also wasted mine. That doesnt change the fact someone in your office stole my ring. Nor is it changing my ratings. Nor will I ever step foot in any of your locations for that matter. And I hope people read this review and hope this doesnt happen to anybody else. I'm grateful that my ring only cost $110 that was a mother's day gift and not my $7000 Vera Wang...
