Whether you are religious or spiritual or just need a touch of nature to remind you its ok to slow down, The Grotto is a beautiful place to relax and get your chakras in order. As we were approaching the area from the parking lot there was a beautiful scent that hung heavy in the air from the surrounding plants. We walked around to the front of the grotto from the parking lot you'll see all the chairs set up under the tent covers for services. There were several people sitting quitely here and there. People lighting candles. A warm soft breeze. Very somber and quiet. The grotto is actually made of cement and fashioned to look like rocks and a cave. For those of you interested they're also two spigots for pouring holy water into containers. Then we went back towards the parking lot where we came in and you'll see a ramp and a staircase leading up to a few quiet meditation areas. And at the top a beautiful statue. Worth the climb.    Read moreVery peaceful place to visit. I even come often for a walk around the trail to clear my mind. The only unpleasant experience I had was with one of the security guys. I walked across the cemetery area during sundown and apparently itâs âoff limitsâ according to one of the security guys I was approached by. It made me uncomfortable and singled out when there was clearly other people around me in the area I didnât see him tell that to also. I guess me being a 30 year old walking alone looking around minding my own business mustâve looked suspicious? Thereâs no sign anywhere that states that area is off limits and after a certain time.
