Church of the Blessed Sacrament — Attraction in San Antonio

I was born and raised in a Catholic family and attended Catholic school. As a teenager I went through changes. I was told that the teachings of catholic churches were unbiblical. This is because of the negative influence and my lack of knowledge of the bible. So for many years I went through church hopping. Not one of them gave me sense of security. Something very important (spirit of worship and reverence) was missing: LACK OF REVERENCE, SERVICES WERE CHAOTIC. almost every one of them are for profit only. All pastors start churches as personal business. they finance the churches by imposing a guilt on the congregation and false promises of prosperity. VERY RARELY I HEARD THE SERMON WELL PREPARED. ONE THING I ENJOYED IS DESIRE TO STUDY THE WORD OF GOD. I ATTENDED BIBLE COLLEGE AND STUDIED BIBLICAL LANGUAGES. BUT CHURCH SERVICES DID NOT GIVE ME THE SATISFACTION THAT I KEPT THE LORD'S DAY HOLY. THEY DISTRIBUTE COMMUNION LIKE CANDIES. TEACHINGS OF THE GOSPEL OF JOHN COMPLETELY IGNORED. NONE OF THE SACRAMEBTS ARE OBSERVED. FINALLY I DECIDED TO RETURN TO CATHOLIC CHURCH. I TRIED SEVERAL OF THEM. FINALLY I ENDED AT CHURCH OF BLESSED SACRAMENT. THE 8 AM SERVICE IS MOST PRECIOUS IN THE EYES OF THE LORD. ALL PEOPLE COME WITH HEARTS PREPARED TO WORSHIP AND PARTAKE OF THE LORD'S SUPPER. I AM BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE. MASS IS VERY SCRIPTURAL. CONSECRATION OF HOST MOST SACRED. I FEEL SPIRITUALLY BLESSED AND EDIFIED. I COME HOME FEELING HEAVENLY. THE PRIESTS AND DEACONS ARE MEN OF GOD. THERE IS A SENSE OF PURITY HERE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PEOPLE TO ATTEND THE MASS AND ENTER INTO THE PRESENCE OF GOD AND BE BLESSED The major draw back of all Catholic churches is that the perisheners are not encouraged to fall in love with the bible. They do not have the desire to study the bible and know the words of Jesus. They do not have bible study classes. They do not know the importance of developing deep intimacy with Jesus. their understanding of JESUS AS THE SON OF GOD, CO EXISTENT, CO EQUAL, CO ETERNAL is not with understanding. THEIR AFFECTION TO MARY IS MUCH DEEPER. THEY BELIEVE MOTHER MARY WILL NEVER LET THEM GO TO HELL. I HAVE WITNESSED SEVERAL CATHOLIC AT THEIR DEATH BED FRANTICALLY CALL UPON MARY, JOSEPH, SAINTS... THERE IS FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN. THEY FEAR PURGATORY....ONLY JESUS, ONLY JESUS, ONLY JESUS WILL ELIMINATE THIS KIND OF FEAR AND FILL US WITH HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN. I have heard many times Catholics pray in the name of Mary, holy family etc LITTLE THAT THEY KNOW THAT IS NOT PRAYER. Jesus has commanded us to pray to the Father in the name of Jesus. HE HAS SAID: I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. NO MAN CAN GO TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME. ONLY JESUS WAS BORN OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. ONLY JESUS LIVED A SINLESS LIFE EVEN AFTER HE WAS TEMPTED IN ALL WAYS HE KNEW NO SIN. ONLY JESUS WAS THE UNBLEMISHED LAMB OF GOD, ONLY JESUS SUFFERED MOST EXCRUCIATING DEATH ON THE CROSS TO ATONE FOR OUR SINS. ONLY JESUS ROSE FROM THE DAETH ON THE THIRD DAY, ONLY JESUS ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN, ONLY JESUS SENT THE HOLY SPIRIT ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST AS HE PROMISED.ONLY JESUS PROMISED TO PREPARE A MANSION FOR US IN HIS FATHERS HOUSE IF WE REMAIN FAITHFUL TO HIM. HE HAS SAID IN THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO MATTHEW : ONLY THOSE WHO ENDURE TO THE END SHALL BE SAVED. In the book of psalms it is written: IF WE BECOME FRIENDS OFGOD HE WILL REVEAL DEEP SECRETS OF HIS HEART AS HE DID TO PROPHETS HIS SERVANTS. WE MUST FALL IN LOVE WITH GOD AND HAVE GREAT PLEASURE IN HIM. WE MUST ENTER IN AND EXPERIENCE THE DEPTH OF CHRIST. GOD REVEALS HIMSELF AS OUR FATHER, AS OUR REDEEMER AND SAVIOUR, OUR DELIVERER. OUR HEALER. DEEP ENCOUNTER WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT IS MOST IMPORTANT. BIBLE TELLS US THAT HOLY SPIRIT IN US PRAYS WITH GROANING AND INTERCEDES FOR US. HOLY SPIRIT MUST BE OUR BEST...

Positives: easy to find, ample parking, lovely venue, long-standing history in the SAT community, handicap/elder accessible, impressive acoustics

Negatives: inadequate signage for directing out of town nonmember guests where to park for funeral which led to delay and confusion when forming the processional; during lull awaiting arrival of priest soothing silence was interrupted by architectural acoustics which allowed attendees of funeral to hear nearly every whispered word of the conversation between the cantor/soloist and organist for 15 mins - I feel their conduct was rude, disrespectful, a disregard for a WWII veteran of The Greatest Generation - take your sidebar convo out in the hall or play the organ for the enjoyment and comfort of the deceased’s family and friends as only you can: through...

On July 17, 2022, after 10:00 AM mass, my wife and I went to stand in line for Fajita Plate. Person waiting if front of me asked how much did it cost? I stated that the bulletins said donation of $10 dollars. "That's a lot!" she said. I reminded her that it is a fundraiser (not a charity to feed the hungry). She said it was too much for her. For me, it was the Best Beef Fajitas, tortillas, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, and (comino) rice that I have tasted since I left my mama's house to join the Navy. The food was Awesome! I have paid alot more at restaurants in San Antonio, and they cannot beat the taste of the Knights of Columbus...
