The Mission Hike and Bike Trails offer a fantastic way to explore San Antonio's historic missions. This scenic route, stretching along the San Antonio River, connects all five missions: The Alamo, Mission Concepcion, Mission San Jose, Mission San Juan, and Mission Espada. With each mission about 2.5 miles apart, the dedicated paved pathways ensure a safe, enjoyable walk or ride, perfect for families and kids. The trail's serene, natural landscape provides a refreshing escape from city life. Don’t forget to bring water and sunscreen to fully enjoy this beautiful and peaceful journey!

Great place for a walk! If you play Pokémon Go, there are quite of bit of stops around the gazebo and a little down the trail on that side of the dam. This is also a great place to watch the sunset. The park can get a little crowded on weekends or during major “outdoor” holidays (Easter, Memorial Day, etc.).

I love riding along this bike friendly trail. The hike is also good. The inclines are a bit challenging for me but I'm a beginner. Definitely a place to see.

This trail is excellent for cycling if you stay south of Guenther. North of Guenther, be prepared to cycle on city streets or walk your bike through the King William/Riverwalk/Pearl areas.

The NPS map could be better (it’s missing some key street names.) The NPS website for this trail also doesn’t seem to be set up to show alerts like other NPS park sites do. We ran into several instances of road construction and spots where the NPS map directly contradicted the City of San Antonio’s...

Definitely can get some TT Bike times out here. A lot of straightaways for you to open up on your bicycle. Make sure you bring a spare inner tube incase of a flat along the way. No issues refilling my water bottle in the parking areas. No issues utilizing the latrines (porto-potty style and handicap accessible). The roads are decent with some minor deficiencies in the bike lanes with a few road cracks and dips. The scenery is great and friendly folk out here just trying to have a good...
