I'm a history & nature enthusiast so when I found this place on Google maps I knew I had to go see it. Beautiful architecture and historical placards to help understand. Nice grassy area nearby for a picnic or just a quick rest. The dam is right off of the River Walk hike) bike trail in South San Antonio.

It's a small dam, but it's pretty cool. The sound is calming. You can stand below and above it. The dam creates a little waterfall. It's worth checking out if you're in the area, walking or riding your bike along the path.

There's so much I can say about the Espada Damn. It's such a beautiful place filled with so much rich history. It's so family friendly people are hanging out, picnicking, riding bikes walking around there's so much to do. There's so much hidden beauty in this wonderful place it is one of our go-to's anywhere between 3 to 4 times a month. Love love...
