I do not recommend this Regal location. I remember this being such a nice place to enjoy a movie some years back but now it's just terrible. From the moment I drove up there were several cars in the parking lot taking up two spaces. I was afraid to park but found a nice little corner. I walked in and the lobby was freezing but hey maybe it's just me. Most of the employees appeared to hate their jobs:( especially at the concession stand but with a smile and kind attitude towards them that seemed to do the trick and then appeared to be more eager to help me. Went upstairs (they addressed the checking tickets at the top of the escalator problem) they now have someone checking tickets just before the long hall of theatres on both sides which is great. The theater itself had a pretty bad smell kinda reminded me of a playplace for kids with the stinky feet smell lol? The theater wasn't too hot or cold to me but it did feel pretty humid so that was a little uncomfortable. Seats were standard (not fancy recliner type or "plush") but doable for me. During the movie I was craving a pickle really bad only to find that I had to go all the way downstairs to get one cause the upstairs concession stand was closed I mean, I could use some extra steps but definitely not convenient. After my movie I walked back to my car only to find another car parked so close I could hardly get in. This situation is a bit ridiculous to me because I drive a smart car lol and I parked as close to the curb as I could! (those of you with luxury vehicles, you're in my prayers). I was determined to like this theater and my movie experience but from start to finish it was nearly impossible to enjoy this place especially knowing there are plenty of other theatres with better parking, friendly staff, reclining seats, clean smelling theater and bathrooms, awesome soda machines with like a billion options, great food, and for nearly the same price?! It's worth the drive for me to go someplace else and actually enjoy my time. Sadly I will not be going back any time soon. Regal Cinemas, please show this...
Read moreMy husband and I went to see a movie at the Alamo Quarry Cinema. We had not been there for a very long time. We were actually excited because back when it was built, it was so cool. We always loved the machines moving and the sounds like it was still a real quarry. Well, except for that not happening, nothing else has changed. Even the down escalator is still broken. I remember so long ago when it would be closed for repairs almost all the time. We were eager to try some of the items on the menu that we saw online. We were extremely disappointed to find out there was no fryer there so no fries, no funnel cake fries, either. The icee machines were frozen so we couldn't even get an icee at that time. More than anything, just like many years ago, the upstairs concession stand was closed. If we wanted a refill on popcorn and our soda, we had wait a while just to ride the slow elevator down to the ground floor and stand in line for our refills. I will say that I really like the self-serve centers at other theatres. It's difficult to describe the exact amount of ice you want. Same with the popcorn butter. I love being able to put my own butter on my popcorn. As for salt, we waited 7 minutes just to get a little container of popcorn salt. On top of all of this disappointment, the theatre is so outdated. The chairs are not very wide and the drink holders on the arm rests are so old fashioned. It was very inconvenient to have to put all your items, including food, on the floor and lean over to pick it up when you want it. The chairs were covered with the same red fabric as decades ago. This was a horrible experience. The theatre seemed warm when we first walked in. It was ok, but no blanket needed like most other theatres. We will never go to a Regal Cinema again. I read online that the other Regal closest to us is also outdated. Very sad. Unfortunately, all the prices were current. This was not worth the...
Read moreMOVIE GOER BEWARE!!!! I had a very unpleasant experience with this theater a couple of nights ago. To start as our group was coming up the escalator, the line for checking tickets was too long and everyone was pushing because the escalator just kept forcing people into the people in front of them. It's like they never plan for the line to get backed up. Many people were literally pushed into me and my group. Then upon leaving it was even worse. Coming out of theater 12 I went to place my trash in the trash can. Unfortunately they have an unmarked ledge/curb in front of the trash cans. It's not easily seen as it's dark grey and the floors and walls are dark as well not too mention you're leaving a dark theater. Nonetheless I didn't see the ledge and tripped on it falling hard on my right side. My group came to check on me and help me up. I knew I hurt but i didn't realize how badly at that time. I said goodbye to friends and hurried home as i felt a bit dizzy and in quite a bit of pain. The next day the pain was worse. I had tingling in my fingertips and pain from my neck down to my ankle. As the morning went on my dizziness got so bad I almost passed out. I found an emergency chiropractor since it was the weekend and had someone drive me over to be seen. He said I hurt myself pretty badly from the fall and it would take possibly up to 10 visits to get me feeling better. I've attempted to contact Regal but with no luck and as of yet no response to my email. Two instances where my safety was jeopardized in one evening. This could of easily been my 9 month pregnant friend who was with me. They obviously do not have proper protocols in place. They don't care for the safety of their patrons...
