Quarry Village — Local services in San Antonio

I love Trader Joe's. They have some great options!! My favorite items include, but are not limited to, dried orange slices, mango, mandarin slices, dried apples, along with other dried varieties! They have great choices of almond butters, cookie butters, and other spreads. Their Sriracha bbq sauce is soooo good poured and baked over chicken. They have a huge selection of sweet treats like peanut butter cups, dark and milk chocolates, dutch Kringles, cookies, nuts and coffees. Don't forget their fresh food market items and deep freeze favorites! Also they have fantastic prices on fresh cut flowers!! Stop in and look! You will be glad you did!! I am from west Texas. We do not have Trader Joe's!! 😓 But I try to frequent them when in Fort worth, Austin, Santa Fe or this great San Antonio...

4 stars for Trader Joe's but this area is awkward to navigate. The ONE WAY signs apparently are not large enough b/c people keep driving their cars in the wrong direction to park in front of TJ's. I fear the day I witness an auto accident or a pedestrian getting hit by one of these selfish lazy impatient drivers. These village styled shopping areas imo just don't work in cities where cars are imperative like San Antonio, Houston, & the like. They're not practical or safe. The Pearl has the same issue at least it is more spacious. I've never been a fan of this style except for places that have been like this for centuries: sections of Greece, France, Italy, England. Whole Foods, 5 Guys, Hofbraü, Piati, Pottery Barn and numerous other boutiques, cafes, salons etc. makes the Quarry one of my favorites doing destinations in San Antonio. Conveniently located at the intersection of the I-410 and I-281, mere minutes from the airport (SAT), the outdoor upscale mall (village, if you prefer) is a very pleasant (albeit spread out) place to do some shopping and/or to have a casual meal. Grab some art supplies at Michael's or relax with friends on the patios of numerous eateries here. Get mesmerized in Whole Foods (I think that I could live there). Watch a movie at the on-site theater. Get your hair or nails done at any of the salons found here. A visit here is HIGHLY...
