South Seas Aquatics Inc. — Attraction in San Antonio

I went here for the first time last week and it is one of the best tropical fish stores I have been to. You could walk into this store for almost any aquarium need and find it here. They have a wide variety of healthy plants, coral, fresh and salt water fish that were living in clean well maintained tanks. I have rarely seen some of the aquatic life I saw there in other tropical fish stores twice their size. The coral selection was amazing to see because of all the different colors and sizes. On top of all the amazing aquatic life they managed to add a variety of equipment and food as well. The maintenance alone for all of these tanks and aquatic life to stay so healthy must take a considerable amount of work and time. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because the service I received was curt. I felt that the worker wanted me to tell him what I wanted and then to get out as fast as possible. After purchasing my fish he didn’t say thank you, bye, come again, smile or anything. He asked if I needed anything else and when I said no he said ok and just walked away leaving my fish on the counter. I see other comments on how people had excellent customer service so I don’t know if the worker was having an off day or if everyone else had a different worker assist them. I’d like to first off thank Dave for his awesome help getting my saltwater tank set up three months ago (not personally, but with the how to’s and donts, my rockscaping and general info.) Since then, Dave and Gary have both been very helpful and informative. Gary had all the answers about all the fish I was interested in as far as care, food, space, compatibility, etc. Their selection is great, prices are good, and their customer service is above most. Been back every couple of weeks and I learn something new every time. They don’t try to sell me things I don’t need, but answer any questions on what I’m interested in and my future intentions for the tank(corals and inverts.)
