St Ann's Catholic Church — Attraction in San Antonio

The deacon gave a homily stating that all Protestants are equally as Christian as those in the Catholic Church and that it doesn't matter where you go on Sunday as long as you believe in God. The priest was given an opportunity to to clarify this point and he instead stated that he agreed with what the deacon had said. This is in contradiction to The Catechism of the Catholic Church, and runs the risk of leading many well intentioned parishioners to commit mortal sin by missing mass on Sunday and instead attending a Protestant service.
