This has been my home parish since 2012. I love nearly everything about it. It is a very welcoming parish community in the Latin Rite of the Catholic Church. We truly believe that "All are Welcome," as the song says, enough that I felt comfortable in converting from my Evangelical background. Everything is vernacular with both English and Spanish language offerings. The catechesis and formation are to the "liberal" side of things, favoring charismatic spirituality. But, the teaching and liturgy here also remain completely within Roman orthodoxy. As for the buildings and grounds, they are beautiful and modern, reflecting how our community views itself: as a family in connection with our ancient past, our modern present, and looking forward to our Heavenly future. The church is in the round, but looks very much like a house, and the lawns and gardens are well kept.
In fact, my only complaint is the clapping at the end of Mass and the talking in the worship space of the church that immediately precedes and follows the Mass. There's little space for personal quiet contemplation of the mystery we witness at the Mass or to prepare to enter into that mystery. Even so, if you're looking for a Catholic Mass in the Latin Rite, there's few better places to...
Read moreLove my parish here.I have meet so many great friends and the community here is amazing. Always something great to do and so many things to get involved with. All my girls and husband are really involved in the parish here. Father Tony is the best and makes the parish what is today. I’m so happy I became confirmed here and grew with the community here because it has been a life changing experience for me. Mom’s ministry and the Ladies Auxiliary really has my heart at this parish and Knights for my husband. Life Teen has been amazing for my girls and all the fun events we do and soon my baby girl will go through all the fun stuff they have for here as she was baptized by Father Tony here and couldn’t be happier that it was him to baptized my daughter. We even got married at our beautiful parish which was the mostly beautiful place to get married at and have the community part of our story. I couldn’t ask for a better wedding. Father Tom married us and he’s an amazing person. Cant wait for our family to keep growing our faith here at this...
Read moreRequested a meeting with the head priest Tony Vilano. I was going through a very serious personal crisis and was looking for some guidance and compassion. At first, he rejected my calls. But when I was able to finally reach him he had me on speaker phone and demanded to know why i wanted to meet with him. I told him it was a very personal matter and I didn't want to say what it was over the phone because it was very personal and confidential and he had me on speakerphone and I could hear people in the background. He then flatly refused to meet with me and abruptly directed me to Saint Vincent de Paul society. No compassion, no understanding. No doing his JOB as a priest to serve the community. Just another hypocrite who only take up the profession to grift off the community and to live for free off the church. From the looks of it he is definitely well fed by the church but has no business pretending to be a priest. Totally useless. I attend to file a formal complaint with the...
