I've been noticing how the food courts entry and exits are becoming extremely limited to one opening. THIS is not good for their businesses. I think it is definitely time to open those tables up because they are already 6 feet apart from my observation. People who are ordering to go still need a place to sit and wait for their food. It's not McDonalds. These people need some time to cook the food. I will change this rating as soon as I see more accessibility to the entry of the food courts. They closed off the back section to entry and now my only way to get their is through the front of the supermarket....alllll the way over to the OTHER DOOR. Ok, you need to open both doors already as well because I see no reason why the other one is shut. No need to limit people when there's not many people coming to this location anyways. This is pretty annoying because I have to travel a lot farther when I simply just want to place an order and pick up the food while I am shopping for my grocery foods. THIS IS BAD FENG SHUI for their business and I just think that Ranch 99 could put a little more effort like Board stands and pictures of their foods in primary access entry points like the way HMART does to alert people of the foods available. I am a customer for a long time and I come with my father often and I don't believe their business should be this slow because it's obvious that the physical set up they got going right now is not going to work in their Favor. A least give us chairs to wait and not make it awkward for us to stand 15 mins waiting for our order. COME ON. FIX THE BAD FENG SHUI PLEASE. Give them a little marketing promotional space. Quarantine time means it's even more important to promote these businesses with standing boards, not keep them pushed to the corner, in the dark with little access entry points. You need a TWO WAY FLOW. Two entry points. That's all I'm asking. Give these small business owners a fighting chance.
Let's RECAP: OPEN THE OTHER FRONT DOOR TO THE SUPERMARKET. ideally, open backside of the restaurant like the old set up. I see now all this food has blocked that entry point as well. give us some chairs to wait for our food. promote those businesses by putting a long standing board in front of main store entry and...
Read moreGreat grocer with an Asian lean. TL;DR: great grocer great prices, go there.
I think as the world in general becomes more global it is harder and harder to classify a place like this. Most products here can now be found in most large groceries but the price point is so so different.
First of all the store is clean and laid out like any grocery you have been too, but maybe depending on your exposure and experience and travels things are slightly different. Produce that is from Japan, and China, and Korea... But also America. (See photo)
The fish and meat section is huge and great, easy to get a full fish for roasting if you are having a party or just like fish that way. I'm told the butchers will help gut and prep, but I didn't ask. Also... Grill a whole fish for your next party ... You will thank yourself.
Good deals on beef and pork. Only place I have found reasonably priced ox tail (although frozen in a block .... But for stew that doesn't matter).
They also have a good food court and although we were there early, everyone was enticing us with friendly waves and good smells.
And their kitchen ware prices cannot be beaten... Buy your next saucepan or strainer or kitchen sears for 6 bucks instead of $20.
Our bill was happily less than expected. Definitely will be back. I imagine if I had a deep freezer I'd be here even more.
They also have stuff you can't find anywhere. We got some durian mochi ice cream (it's hard to explain if I like this or not, but I did eat it all), and impromptu snow crab, cause the price was right.
This is a place that should be added to everyone's shopping routine. Or even...
