There have been times when the service here was good, and other times when it was not. I initially went to Meagan, and while she generally did well, there were a few occasions where my hair wasn’t toned properly and I had to return for adjustments.

On one visit, her assistant Maddie overlapped bleach during the foiling process, which caused part of the bottom section of my hair to melt off.

As Meagan became busier, she referred me to Chelsea. The first appointment with Chelsea went well. However, during the second visit, I immediately sensed something was wrong. She applied the foils differently, and after removing them, I noticed her panic. She quickly grabbed the used foils from the trash and took them out of the room before continuing to wash my hair.

Because I typically avoid heat styling, I left with damp hair. Within two days, I realized the entire front section of my hairline had been melted off. This was devastating. At first, I chose not to confront them and decided I would simply not return. But as time went on, my confidence diminished, my hair was sticking straight up and was visibly damaged, so I reached out to Meagan, the owner.

Instead of responding directly, she had her assistant Katlyn contact me. After explaining exactly what happened, the assistant asked if I wanted a refund. I said that was the least they could do since the damage was permanent and at the very front of my hairline. She told me she would get back to me the next morning, but I didn’t hear back until a week later. When she finally responded, she claimed Chelsea told her I “came in like that.” 🤣🤣🤣

The fact that they chose to dismiss my concerns, deny responsibility, and suggest that the damage was pre-existing is deeply unprofessional and dishonest. Rather than owning up to frying my hair, they deflected and treated me as though I were lying.

Beware of this salon.

EDIT RESPONSE…… As I mentioned in my review, some experiences were good and some were bad. I give you permission to post or provide me with the “before” photo showing the damage my hair had before I came in. For the record, I’ve been sleeping on silk pillowcases since 2021 when you recommended it. I have a water softener system, and I never use heat on my hair, I always let it air dry.

I don’t care about a refund because money won’t fix my hair. What I care about is being blatantly gaslit and lied to, as if I don’t know what my own hair looked like before walking in. That’s insulting and dishonest.

Warning to others: always look at the hair of the person you’re trusting with yours. If their own looks fried, that’s your red flag. I ignored mine thinking they’d treat my hair with more care, and I...

The only reason that I came in to this place was because of the reviews, really got my attention and definitely decided to book an appointment. Since their website didn’t work for me for an appointment I just sent an email to them to book it, I was so excited to get my hair done with new color and hair extensions. So I got my appointment for Sunday August 22nd at 1 pm , I am driving there early like never didn’t in my life to get in to this place , I received a phone call from Gaby regarding she is running delay with her previous appointment, I was closed to the place so I told her I was almost there so she invited me to go inside but a little bit hesitant about it. I wait in my car for 30 minutes and received a text from Gaby regarding that I will be receiving complimentary deep conditioning for my waiting… so I get in to the place and I will say the place is nice really white and looks fancy.. my adventure starter when I showed a photo of the hair color that I was looking for. Finally She got me in to the end with the hair color but definitely not what I asked her… apart of that she didn’t mentioned anything about my deep conditioning that I was supposed to get, she kind to want me to convince me that the hair color looks good on me. It is not, I explained to her that I been trying different wigs to get to see which color looks good on me and definitely that one in my hair does not. I was not satisfied with this , but I kind of feel like maybe I was judging her. So I place an order for my hair extensions and she charged me as a everything was a success and happy client.. she did not mentioned anything about the hair extensions after the first deposit if I decided to canceled my money will not be able to get returned to me. I am been dealing with this business to get my money back for my hair extensions, when I didn’t received a notice that this will be happening, because if I did it received I will not being paying the hair extensions at all. I am totally dissatisfied and disappointed over...

This place BOTCHED my hair so horribly. I had initially gotten highlights there, and I scheduled one more appointment before I left California. I was upset that the girl who originally did my hair no longer worked there, but I assumed I'd still be in good hands since my highlights had come out great and I liked them. I couldn't have been more wrong. I suggested the crazy notion of going all blonde. Instead of giving me honest advice, both my stylist AND the salon owner encouraged me to do it. I asked for a natural, honey blonde. The color I ended up with was a frightening Lady Gaga blonde that looked fluorescent, even with the lights turned down. The full impact of how awful it looked didn't hit me until I got home--I cried every time I looked in the mirror. And I was charged over $600, which is absolutely insane. It took nine months of having my hair dyed to fix this monstrosity until it grew out. To add insult to injury, the girl that did my hair got bleach and toner all over the back of my favorite shirt, ruining it. Even if I did still live in San Diego, I would NEVER recommend this...

I had a major hair emergency when I stayed out of town for several weeks. I had big plans coming up and my hair was a disaster. I started making "cold calls", about 40 calls in, I was striking out completely. Most couldn't do it for a week or required a consultation first or didn't even answer their phones. I was about to give up when I found Dan at Blonde Voyage Salon. He answered the call, I explained the dilemma and he offered to come in before the salon opened to do my hair!!! I was a little nervous b/c it seemed too good to be true but the salon was super cute, Dan was beyond adorable and SO accommodating! Most importantly...he's amazing at what he does!!!! He did the works on my hair and it looked (looks) AMAZING!!! He worked his magic going as fast as he could to get it all in b/f it was tine for my big plans...I was perfectly on time. Now I'm going to start going to SD to get my hair done every 4-6 weeks...YAYYYYYY! I can't say enough great things about Dan, SO impressive. I am completely thrilled with my experience and I will definitely be back to see him soon! Dan is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
