Evening stroll with my dog, and he loved every tree and every light pole. The views are beautiful and serene at night. The crescent moon🌙 lit the dark skies. The pathway lit with tall street lights (2 were annoyingly blinking) along with the moonlit and few twinkling 🌟 cascaded a low glow and glimmer to the gentle waters. The cool breeze helped encourage a little more steps. At a distance, you could see across the water others who built bonfires to combat the chilly wind. What a delightful place to be, even when the darkness during daylight savings spoiled the brightness of the warm sun at sich an early hour.🌞 I enjoyed every minute. Apparently, others felt the same way from joggers, families and others doing the same.

Awesome park. Purrfect little slice of heaven on Earth. Downside it gets very congested, the traffic is bad coming in and out, and also the public restrooms are often yucky and the seagulls are like big pests. They will raid your picnic the second your back is turned and they tear up the garbage cans and strew trash all over. But those are minor issues when you consider the beauty and location.

Love this space. Great views, Free public parking and public beach use. Walking, jogging, biking trail. RV friendly. fishing. boat launch. Great beach. Great bathrooms with hot water at the sink. Warm water outdoor shower. Water Hose for washing off boat and floatation devices and gear. Drinking water fountain/ bottle fill station.

Underrated. A very quiet and serene place to be, especially during the weekdays. Ride a bike or walk/jog on the sidewalk. Lay on the grass, do yoga or whatever the hell you wish to do.

On weekends there tends to be larger gatherings. Various bonfire pits scattered across the area. Playgrounds available for children, and public restrooms available (though unfortunately, not the cleanest sometimes).

The parking lots can be filled with some questionable RVs, but besides a few interesting characters no one really bothers you and tends to their own business.

The north area of the park is also accessible through San Diego's public transportation system (the MTS) via the Blue Line trolley at the Clairemont Drive transit center.

Don't be afraid to get your daily dose of vitamin-D by coming out here! (p.s. this is also a nice area to watch the 4th of July fireworks from Sea World's...

Went there with my family on a Wednesday. There were almost no people there, maybe because the weather was overcast and windy. There are grassed areas to sit. I saw a few barbecue pits to cook some meat. To my surprise, they allow you to do bumfires at night. Restrooms were near by. Parking was free and easy. The water was clean, I didn't see any algae. There is an area where people were allowed to drive their boats into the water. I would recommend this place if you are running a little short on cash. You may bring the kids and spend a few hours of relaxation, specially if the weather is nice and...
