• there is a large drink menu •Ah-bong is what they are known for but personally not qorth it its crispy on the outside but the inside tastes like raw pancake batter *Soft-serve is honestly almost drool worthy Its super soft and refreshing its the best afternoon snack One Ah-boong is 4.50 each and about the size of a 4x6 envelope , you can be buy it right side up where the fill it with soft serve like a ice cream cone or get it.upside down on top soft serve scoop on a cup
There is also taiyako which is the japanese fish shaped pancake with filling PLEASE SKIP THE OREO, YOU WILL DODGE A BULLET. Its literally just a orea smushed in fried pancake the taste is like eating wet mushy warm oreos that have been left out for days sand whiched in between raw pancake batter inside of taiyaki and crispy on outside not at all pleasant.
Custard same thing most taste is raw pancake batter there like half a spoon of custard in there can barely taste it custard itself is good (it and the soft serve is even approved by my dog) cant say the same to taiyaki by itself.
Watch out for ube dont make my mistake and wear white clothes its been lika year and half and multiple runs thru the washer and stain still remains.
They do have a cute little corner where you can toppings on the soft serve: Captain crunch, fruity pebbles, mini macaron disk, cocoa pebbles, oreao crumble, biscoff dust, matcha, sprinkes, and more.
You can also get 2 taiyaki for $4.50 (i went early September 2023 so...
Read moreWe visited SomiSomi again this March because our first experience had been wonderful. Unfortunately, this second visit was a big letdown.
The man at the counter was extremely impatient with my two children (1st and 2nd grade). They were excited to order by themselves for the first time, and we were encouraging them to try. They weren’t holding up the line or causing any trouble—just taking a few extra seconds to decide.
The store wasn’t even busy that day. Including us, there were only about five people in the whole shop. Yet instead of showing any patience, the staff member seemed annoyed just because my kids were speaking softly. When it came time to choose their toppings, he leaned on the counter with his hands on his hips and said, “I can’t hear you...” in a very dismissive tone.
It made us feel really uncomfortable. I understand that working in customer service can be tiring, but children deserve basic kindness—especially when they’re being polite and trying something new.
We used to love this place, but after this experience, it’s hard to come back. I hope SomiSomi can train their staff to treat all customers, including young kids, with...
Read moreGood ice cream and delicious taiyaki’s (Nutella all the way!) . Decided to make Thursday #treatyoself day and head to Somi Somi for some tasty bites. It had been a long, busy week and decided we needed to get out and get something good. Why not have ice cream for dinner right? Ok, not dinner exactly but before dinner. I just got the milk soft serve with coconut shavings and cocoa pebbles. Simple yet refreshing and tasty. The kids got upside down Nutella Au Bong’s with various toppings. We also got some fresh strawberry milk (a bit pricy but I had always wanted to try it). We have made at home with fresh strawberries and milk and I think it was equally as tasty. It is very refreshing and light. Next time I think I will try something different. Also picked up a 5 pack of taiyaki’s, some Nutella and a few limited time mint Oreo kind. All equally as good. We went around 6:30pm and it was a good time because we were able to walk right in, get our goodies and head out (a rare occasion since it is usually super busy). A great way to #treatyoself anytime...
