My wife and I literally just came here as a recommendation to the previous owner of a kitten we bought, and they bought the kitten package form Colina. This includes the shots he would have needed and a physical examination, including an ear exam. Well 3 days after his FIRST appointment we received our kitten, and there was evidence of mites and we have photo evidence with a timestamp. We set up his second round of shots and asked if we could get the exam fee-$45, waived since they didn't catch the mites the first time. The vet tech understood what I asked for and said that even if the fee was waived, we would still have to pay for treatment which was a given to me and my wife.
Well a few minutes after our kitten was taken back the vet tech comes back out sand says that even though we have a photo with evidence of possible mites, it wasn't "scientific evidence" which sure, we don't have a slide with a mite in it, but we know what mites look like. so they weren't waiving the fee. Okay, whatever. we'll just go somewhere else.
What really irritates me is that face that our kitten was only in the vet for about 5 minutes when he came out and the tech said "you're all good to go" with NO paperwork. so my wife asked for a copy of the paperwork just to know what was done, and if/when we do take him to another vet they can know what was already done. It took approximately 15 minutes for them to come back out with the records. My kitten was in the vet for a shorter amount of time than it had taken the tech to come out with three pieces of paper. which astounds me, seeing as how the papers should have come out with our kitten. We will not be coming here again, and I hope everyone else has a better experience at Colina...
Read moreWas told a 3 hour wait which is already pretty hefty for an "Emergency" my husband and I and our puppy were waiting very comfortably in the car with AC and literally just chilling, then we were called to go into the little tiny room where it was hard to breathe(super hot )in there only to wait like four more hours. All the while my very injured puppy laying on a metal slab super uncomfortable, she was being such a good girl. Once you're in the room the employees pretty much ignored us, no one checked in on us, no one asked us if we needed anything, literally just sat there listening to doors open and close for 4 hours once in the room. My husband is literally one of the most patient people I know and even he couldn't stand it anymore. In the end unfortunately I could not afford the $2,000 bill they were trying to give us, I personally don't have 2,000 bills to hand anyone. No payment plan available and they literally looked at me like I was crazy for asking. All in all it was a horrible experience I will never go there again. I guess I can thank them at least my puppy got antibiotics and now I know where not to go if ever there is an...
Read moreVery disappointed in this place, I used to bring all my pets to this place due to Dr. Guajardo. He was very good with all my animals and treatment used to be afforable but ever since his son has been taking over his pratice the level of service has gone way down. I got a irritated with them in particular due to a recent change in their handling of booking appointments, putting a deposit down before coming in, I recently had to visit two different veterinarian hospitals because we couldn't book with him and we received great care and more afforable treatment and no deposit required. I guess the reason for them enforcing that is due to high volumes of cancelation? Maybe there is a reason why, people don't get the same level of professionalism and decide to go else where. They also decided to flag us instead of trying to discuss with us and taking my complaint seriously , we have been taking our dog there for years never had a issue with staff until recently. Well it won't be a loss, guess we'll be taking our business elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this place....
