Healthy Massage — Attraction in San Diego

Healthy Massage is open 0930-1030 every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas, so I went to celebrate New Year's with a 12 consecutive hour massage ($120 tip = 3 full body massages). Why? The details are as follows: This is the cleanest, most professional, and least expensive place to get a massage in all of San Diego. I have been going here since October every week at $40 dollars (YES, they accept card) an hour for a full body deep tissue massage, you LITERALLY will not get a better price anywhere else. As you walk in, you will notice all their certifications posted on the wall to the right of the reception desk.  In each room, their is a singular framed picture of the company massage policies as I like to call it "The Art of Massage". That is as professional as it gets folks. All the top notch masseuses I have met (Yuki, Kathy, Evelyn, Snow, and Mary) have been in this profession for several years and are experts in every type of massage under the sun as well as eloquent conversation! As a loyal customer, I can attest to several other loyal customers who come regularly and have even stayed with their favorite masseuses for over 12 years! If you never had a massage before, it is my strongest recommendation that you come here. If you do not know what you are doing, ASK for a recommendation from the receptionist. Please remember these lovely ladies are hard working humans who work over 12 hours, 6 days a week FOR YOU! Booked 1 hr combo massages for two for my sister's birthday. Confirmed combo massages when we arrived for our appointment.

Ended up being couples body massage only (no foot massage) and charged $60 each versus $40.

I went back and looked at my original text booking the appointment, and it was indeed for a $40 combo massage.

The massages were pretty good; other than the two women talking to each other, then settling into a whisper the entire appointment.

The place seems clean.

They have you pay up front when you check in and tip at the end.

They were annoyed we left our bottoms on. We weren't expecting body massages (let alone couples massages), so stripping down wasn't in our plans that day.

I'm usually too lazy to post any review on anything, but the massage was beyond terrible and I got tricked by the good reviews as well. I get massages regularly - but when I got my foot massage here I thought this lady was just messing around with me because she was literally just "rubbing" and "scratching" my foot. Really??? Like just basic pressure would've been fine, but it was like a kid just playing around my foot for 15 minutes! For hand massage, she just "touched" my fingers.
