Nails By Ann & lounge — Attraction in San Diego

I had a sad experience at this nail salon. I simply wanted to relax, escape life and get my nails done. Initially it started out beautifully however when I checked out the gentleman at the counter called across the salon for the nail technician to come up to her front and get her tip and directed me to walk to the other nail tech and tip her (which I thought was unprofessional, and at other nail salons that I've gone too I've always given the tip to the technician privately). In addition to that he was chewing on his food and I couldn't understand what he was saying, when I asked clarification about the price (because I couldn't understand his words) he was extremely rude about it.

I feel like an idiot because I went back for a second time (my nails looked beautiful and since I enjoyed my nail tech I was hoping for the best). And all I'm going to say about the second time is that they charged me $59 for a fill in when at my first appointment they had charge me $51 for a full set.

In summary I would just warn you to be prepared to pay a different price for the same service - depending on the day of the week. And once again when it came to the tip the man at the counter was extremely unprofessional and this time I hadn't needed to break any cash so I had tipped the nail technician in the back privately before checking out (and it had been a good tip).

I really would have just loved to get my nails done without being scrutinized. I enjoyed my nail tech but sadly will have to take my business elsewhere, getting your nails done should feel more like being pampered and less like being judged...

First time coming here and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. I went in for a manicure and pedicure. My feet were almost done when the other lady came to try and do my nails. She told me it would cost extra if I got them longer. I asked her could she do them the way I wanted and she didn’t seem very confident about it. I asked her how much and she couldn’t give me a price. We didn’t confirm a price but I was sitting there at least waiting for her to start. Regardless I wanted my nails done and she didn’t even start them. She walked off and goes and whispers to the guy at the front ( I guess the owner) and comes back to take all of her stuff and goes and helps another customer. She didn’t even communicate that she wouldn’t be doing my nails. How rude is that? I will never step foot in this place again. And the fact I mentioned to the guy that I wanted my nails done when I was leaving ( which he was aware of because he checked me in). Instead of apologizing, he ignored me. They can careless about providing actual customer service. I wouldn’t recommended this...

I took a break for a while my nails are sensitive and I really feel gouged when they add on $5 or $10 to add a design or color which takes less than two minutes I’m just like wow isn’t it enough that a gel manicure is 39-40 and of course they like to upsell I get it . Not the best questions either I’m just not one to pay $90 each visit this is insane! But today I figure I needed a treat and with all do respect the addition of $10 to choose crome or whatever it costs I think that’s VERY pricy not worth it every 2 week I would be broke just to have a special color as they say 🤔the ladies were nice well the one who did my mani and the lady who did my pedi was semi I don’t expect the royal treatment but if I’m paying $90 let’s say I need a neck massage and some under eye pads to chill my puffy tired eyes. Kinda rough pedi too. It’s a 4 star ok the one finger has a drip not so smooth . For that additional $10 I will say she...
