Do you love sports? Do you have sports injuries? Do you prefer an alternative treatment rather than a cortisone shot? Do you want to improve your overall physical and mental health?
If you answered yes to any of the above Qs, you need to consult Bobby Cox-he is a true master trainer and I am his grasshopper!
I first met Bobby at his seminar for corrective exercise and sport injuries. That was over five months ago, I suffered from a variety of pain issues including wrist, shoulder, hip, lower back and ankle pain. The worst enemy was my tennis elbow. I was skeptical when he told me he could fix all of my pain issues and that he had trained tennis players before. How could I trust a good looking personal trainer who is not even a tennis professional?
Well, I was wrong. Yes, I was wrong! But there is one thing I am right about. Guess what it is.
Before even getting into the sport specific training, we had to work on eliminating my pain with proper stretching and corrective exercises. In the beginning, I was not performing my corrective exercises properly so Bobby had to correct my corrective exercise...This is why I need an actual trainer not a DIY way with YouTube videos or books.
Bobby is very patient and he understands my poor English (at least he lets me think so) which is a huge comfort for a person like me. He also uses acupressure and active release techniques to reduce my elbow pain saving me additional charges from a chiropractor!
Bobby has extensive knowledge on how to resolve pain and sport injuries. It seems like he know everything about health and fitness. He is a "mobile wiki" of that category!
I've been playing tennis again for about 3 months and I am stronger and faster than before. I am happy with my game and some of my tennis friends don't think I actually had injuries and that I secretly attended tennis camp! I actually followed Bobby's suggestions and continue to balance tennis days and workouts so I won't stupidly injure myself again. I am much smarter about my health because of what Bobby has taught me.
Bobby Cox helped me recover from my injuries and improved my tennis! He did it and yes, I honestly consider him the BEST! That's the answer. I am so right about that...
Read moreI wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone. The indoor area is small. The pool is very poorly run, and poorly maintained. Many safety hazards raise doubts about their concern for their patrons. Mask mandates were not well enforced during the pandemic, including staff members who routinely didn’t wear masks covering their noses. The pool lifeguards are often either nowhere to be found, or hanging out on their phone, or socializing. More often than not, no one is consistently, actively scanning the pool to ensure everyone’s safety, even when the shallow area is full of children. Many chipped tiles on the pool walls are hazards. Patrons who want to do a short swim near the end of the day beware: staff frequently covers two lanes with the pool cover 30+ minutes before the pool closes, making the third lane over very unpleasant to be stuck swimming in. Sadly, the manager is extremely unprofessional. When I requested to cancel my membership due to safety concerns, I was told that needed to be done via email. Member services and the manager proceeded to ignore me for more than a week, before I called to discuss the cancellation. The manager repeatedly interrupted me on the phone, talked over me, and accused me of trying to use covid-19 to weasel out of my contract. I had legitimate safety concerns about the mask mandate being lifted without verification of vaccination status. Investment in customer service training would be worthwhile. Folks looking for a good pool can find one at the Poway community center! The Poway community pool is very well maintained, beautiful, and has...
Read moreI've worked out with my trainer, Bobby Cox, for almost 4 years now. There was a brief hiatus because I moved from Carmel Mountain to Kensington and I tried to work with another trainer, but within no time I came running right back down the 15. I just can't quit him.
Don't go to Bobby if you want someone to giggle with who tells you it is okay to have a "cheat day" because you deserve it. Go to Bobby because you want a hardcore trainer who is not a fan of excuses or dairy. Bobby Cox doesn't want to sit around discussing the merits of chia seeds and juice cleanses with you. Bobby wants to shape your body into absolute ideal form. He'll teach you how to treat your body like a machine, feed it the right things and do exactly the right exercises to get what you need.
Fitness is not just a job to Bobby Cox. This is a dude that spends his spare time summiting mountains, skiing in Canada, making gluten and dairy free pizzas and taking classes on fitness so he can find new ways to kick my a& at the gym. He's the real deal.
And boy does he know what works- Since I started working out with him 4 years ago I have hit and maintained my goal weight, completed several marathons and a half Ironman, and gotten married (Bobby is not directly responsible for that last one, but hey, having good looking arms probably helped).
People ask me who I work out with and I tell them to check out Bobby, but always with fair warning- the guy knows his stuff and he doesn't mess around. Go to him if you are serious about...
