Stopped by today after making an appointment via Verizon's warranty representative. The tech with long unkempt hair and a neckbeard sauntered out from the back and was immediately confrontational and condescending, interrupting me to ask me to repeat information he didn't understand because he was busy interrupting me. I handed him my phone which he immediately tore out of the case with abandon, and with a bored demeanor pointed the smallest of blemishes on the metal casing, telling me that voids the warranty. I have stage IV colon cancer so I really don't have it in me to haggle with someone who made up their mind about me and my device before we even said "hello!" Obviously a small ding on the casing is not going to cause the screen to fail gradually over 6 months; that's a manufacturing issue, Perhaps if the employee had taken 30 seconds to listen to me uninterrupted he could have grasped this concept, but this simpleton doesn't have any functions besides being rude and unhelpful it seems,
Judging by other reviews I'm reading, I'm not the first one with this issue. I don't know why he is still employed, maybe nepotism? Clearly incompetent and hostile towards customers.
I told him I have insurance and he tells me I submitted a warranty claim instead of an insurance claim. I submitted my claim through the insurance website so I was confused. When I requested clarification, the employee offered no guidance whatsoever, just reiterating that I had done it wrong so he can't help me.
Honestly it seems like this guy has no desire to do his actual job, and instead dedicates his energy towards avoiding customers' needs and simply getting rid of them ASAP.
I submitted a second claim via the insurance website and they shipped me a replacement device. So I won't be returning, and this location will not make money from the job it turned away....
Read moreIn short. I went in for a screen replacement. The service rep was an ass to deal with. Very rude to me and thw customer before me. Told me samsung would not service my phone and tgere was nothing i could do. I went to the same store in Santee 30 min later and they fixed it no problem at all with ver nice service.
I would love to leave 5 stars as I have been in 2 times before for very nice replacements screens for other flip phones... this last time I went in the service rep was quite rude to the woman in front of me.
Then when helping me was rude right away and pointed out small scratches on the back of my phone saying there was no way Samsung would cover the warranty. Which had nothing to do with the broken seam of the screen which I had gone in for. I was fine with that as it is my work phone which I needed to get usable that day. I was willing to pay out of pocket, but he then pointed out he did not the correct color. I told him I did not care about that either. Which he was a smart ass about and replied I might not care but Samsung cares... he then told me there was no way I would get the screen replaced by a samsung approved company and I was bumb out if luck.
I decided to go to the same store in Santee. They were very nice and helped me right away. Had no issues at all... said there was nothing wrong with the scratches on the back, but the phone was too old for the warranty. They took it in for replacement with no issues. Their color was slightly off, but I told them no problem so they sent me on my way with a 2 hour turn around for a completely fixed phone. Just as I have had in the past no issues from then or...
Read moreIf you don't want to read: An employee at this location refused to honor my warranty because Samsung would reject it. I sent the device directly to Samsung and they fixed it, no questions asked. This gives me the impression that this uBreakiFix location just didn't want to work on my phone.
Full story: Two weeks ago, I walked into this particular location in the weekday evening. It was empty and an employee came out within a minute. I explained that I have a Samsung Galaxy ZFlip6, and that I was still within warranty to get a free screen replacement in accordance to Samsung's Galaxy Z Assurance Screen Protector Replacement Offer Terms. The employee took my phone and started inspecting it. Before looking at it further, he explained to me that any sort of nicks or cracks will void my warranty (that Samsung will void the warranty). He told me this in a predetermined tone, like he was going to find one. I have never dropped my phone have always had a case on it, so I was somewhat confident. After a half a minute of "inspecting", he said "Ahh, see", then proceeded to show my the tiniest imperfection on the corner of my hinge. I didn't press him anymore because he gave off a very dismissive vibe, like he didn't want to do work. Then, I proceeded to submit a ticket with Samsung and send the device to them. I have just gotten the device back from Samsung and they replaced the screen protector free of charge. I understand that the Z Flip series phone is not fun to work with, but this was just a request for screen protector replacement. I honestly believe that the employee was just...
