I recently had the pleasure of dining at Himalayan Grill, a Nepali restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The flavors and aromas that filled the air were absolutely tantalizing, and the restaurant itself exuded a warm and inviting ambiance. I am so thrilled to share my 4-star review, highlighting the remarkable dishes I had the pleasure of savoring.
First and foremost, the Daal soup at Himalayan Grill is an absolute must-try. It is packed with rich, hearty flavors that are incredibly comforting. The lentils are perfectly cooked and the blend of spices is just right, creating a soup that is both satisfying and delicious. It truly showcases the authenticity and passion behind Nepali cuisine.
Moving on to the paneer dishes, I was blown away by the quality and taste. The paneer was incredibly soft and flavorful. Whether it was the classic paneer tikka or the mouthwatering paneer butter masala, each dish was bursting with the perfect blend of spices and stood out as a true delight. The paneer dishes truly demonstrate the culinary expertise of the chefs at Himalayan Grill.
One thing that really surprised me was their Indo-Chinese dishes. The noodles were perfectly cooked and mixed with a delicious assortment of vegetables and spices. They struck the balance between spicy and flavorful, making it hard to resist going back for seconds. Additionally, the chili paneer was an absolute winner. The paneer cubes were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bathed in a delightful sweet and spicy sauce that left me craving for more.
The service at Himalayan Grill was exceptional, with staff members who were attentive and accommodating. They were more than happy to explain the dishes and offer suggestions based on our preferences. The waitstaff displayed a genuine enthusiasm for their cuisine, which only enhanced our dining experience further.
While I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Himalayan Grill and highly recommend it, I provide a 4-star rating due to the minor inconsistency in the spiciness levels of some dishes. However, this should not deter anyone from trying their delectable offerings as the flavors certainly make up for it.
In conclusion, Himalayan Grill is a hidden gem that serves up some truly remarkable Nepali dishes. From the comforting Daal soup to the delectable paneer dishes and irresistible Indo-Chinese offerings, this restaurant is a culinary haven. I would highly recommend paying a visit to Himalayan Grill for an unforgettable dining experience that will surely satisfy...
Read moreOn labor day long wknd while furniture shopping in mera mesa area we were looking for biryani and at 3.00pm super hungry when we landed in front of Paradise biryani pointe opposite to its advertisement sadly we found it closed not a good start for them. So nearby Himalayan grill was our top candidate to go for lunch. As name suggest it's more of nepalese indian fusion but definitely more of initial and stood close to our expectations. Would rate anywhere average 3.5 which is not available here and found it on bit expensive side. We ordered vegetable pakora, chicken pakora, paneer tikka masala, chicken jalfrezi and chicken biryani all at spice level of 3 out of 5. Both the pakoras were not very flavorful as pakoras should be it was more on blend side. Yellow lentil soup was complementary and on blend side. So now our expectations were not too high for the entries but were taken by surprise by the flavor and spice level of 3 for the entries, it stood out good though the portion seemed bit small. Paneer tikka masala had nice tangy spicy flavored gravy while chicken jalfrezi had nice fresh vegetables including cauliflower, cilantro and maybe bit of ginger which gave nice aroma and flavor. You can opt for bread or rice which comes with the entries. Chicken biryani was bit off, though it was flavorful + spicy it was not typical Hyderabad biryani style but wonder if I can compare it when I am eating in a more Nepalese restaurant. The spice level of 3 really made us run for some water which was total surprise given initial blend starters and soup. If you are not up for spicy entries, do go for level 2 or low. While I can't imagine what level 5 would be, I know I am not trying that or even level 4. Overall good food, good taste but found it bit expensive. Their custom tip button didn't work when we went and if still not working you are up for 18% and above tip. Service was good, ambience can be more better but in current covid situation is understood . We may go again if in that area but should be tried at least ones and you may like for good which...
Read moreHorrible horrible service. Took 40 minutes for a takeout order of two chicken dishes and the free Yelp check in dessert. To top it off, they didn't give us the dessert and we couldn't eat the meal bc they didn't give us any utensils! I would give negative stars if possible!
Entered around 8pm (after the normal dinner rush) on a Friday with the restaurant about half to 2/3 full (with a good portion of them with their meal). Watched a group of three Indian guys who ordered behind us, about 6 other people with takeout orders who came in after and half the restaurant finish their meal before asking after about 25 minutes how much longer. I'm told they're still cooking it in the kitchen and everyone else was a phone order even though the group of three behind us clearly ordered and we're already gone (I suspect racism since I'm not Indian).
Walked out at 845pm with the meal and a spoiled appetite - no longer hungry, just wanting to go home and annoyed AF. We have a 1.5 year old who was very antsy and at that point we might as well have eaten at the restaurant unless it was gonna take us that long to get our food too. I haven't even eaten the food but no Indian food is worth a 40 minute wait...and it's not even that cheap!
Looked on Yelp board afterwards and noticed all the low ratings were essentially for the...
