Went there in Tuesday (7/28/2015) to check to pro store and race track. There was no one in the pro store and stood around for 30 mintues. Sone body cones by and ask him if they could help me? I asked if they worked there and was told no. Explained to the guy that my brother and i stood around for 30 minutes and no was ever in the store. This guy tried to tell me the owner was getting the track ready for practice and that the reason no one it in the pro shop. That is not a good reason to not have someone minding the store front. Either you come in before opening to get things ready or you hire people to help, this is a business correct. All i got to say os my brother had $2 grad in cash to spend on a new rc car to race and they just lost a good customer, also I will not be recommending is store to get your rc car. The track is nice but if you can not run the store and track same time, you need to hire help. one other thing, I'm surprised they have not gotten then stolen from their pro store when no one there. Maybe we'll be back to race on the track but I don't think we would buy anything from there as in RC...
Read moreI first visited SDRC this past Wednesday to check out a race night, dipping my toes in the water before I jump in, so to speak, and it was awesome. I too met Eli. He was the first person I talked to when I got there, and he was super cool, informative, helpful, and just an all around cool guy. I also met some very friendly and welcoming competitors. Everyone was cool. Awesome track layout, with the bare clay surface that was moistened and blown clean regularly. A triple made for some mind-blowing spectating, with buggies clearing the triple and then some, basically banking midair to land on what I can only describe as a half-pipe type feature😮 And pretty much every vehicle was super quick. Smartphone pics yielded only blurs if the r/c beasts were in motion, so I had to rely on video to take home a little record of my first visit...which I doubt will be my last😁 It's just so crazy how small the electronics have become, since I was a little kid in the late '80s, early '90s, playing with the RC10L I built, with the help of a VHS walkthrough 📼😆...
Read moreIt's a friggn' race track for you RC car!!! Need I really say more? Honestly one of the funnest times I've had in a long long time. The employees were super easy going and took time to chat about my trip down to SD. I'm from the Bay Area (northern California) and was visiting SoCal for my sister's grad at Petco. I just happened to find these guys on Instagram on the way over here so I decided to make a pit-stop. 20$ for 2+hrs of free-range practicing. Jumps, mud, and competition... Fun fun fun. Making a stop whenever I can...
