The service Dean provides is off the charts exceptional, the kitchen staff is on point and the food is the best I’ve had in my short time in San Diego. Make sure you ask for “the sauce”.

Update. 2nd trip here and it didn’t disappoint. I wanted to try a pasta dish, and I remembered seeing lasagna delivered to the table behind me the last time I was here, that looked amazing. I’m a chicken parm fan so when I saw it on the menu I forgot all about the lasagna and jumped at the opportunity. By far the best I’ve ever had! All fresh ingredients, not over powering on any ingredient yet not lacking any either. Half of the portion would be twice the cost at other restaurants I’ve tried in San Diego and I feel confident saying that the others could only meet half the quality. Service was excellent again and I can say I have found my favorite restaurant. Don’t let the laid back counter service look deter you, this is in no way a fast food joint. What the pizza joint lacks in the “Big Restaurants” decor and atmosphere, they more than make up for in the food and service quality the over priced competition can only aspire to compete with. Wow, what a find. Their meats are really good, and I don't think I have tasted better pulled pork. If this will be your first time there, let them know, and they will give you a small sample of each meat before you order - 5 or 6 kinds. The price to portion and quality is well within line, and you do get a large portion. Some of the meat I like better than others....but they all tasted very good. Really depends on what you want.

I did find it interesting that they asked if I wanted pork in my sample, not an issue for me, but I can see where those that don't eat it would like that for service.

The place is clean....it's a deli, what do you want.

Service was very good, willing to offer suggestions and willing to make what you want...i.e. the menu is more of a suggestion list.

They are in the corner of the little shopping area they are in (construction on the building facad made it difficult to locate at first), and the parking should be plenty, but was nearly full...
