Burekas Box — Restaurant in San Diego

To start off, all the Burekas I ordered tasted AMAZING. Light crispy and flaky pastry with delicious fillings. My favorite was the cheese but the golden potato and corn and cheese were amazing as well!

My only drawback/suggestion is that for curbside orders, after people text that they are waiting, to send a confirmation or acknowledgement so we know the message has been received! With perhaps a blurb that you are warming up the order. The Burekas are heated after you say you’re there for pick up. So although I arrived at 12:30 (which was my preorder time) I did not receive the Burekas till 1:00. That is a long wait if you’re not aware prior. However again, it is worth it!!

These are amazing! Everything was baked to perfection: flaky, golden pastry with just the right crunch on the outside and soft, flavorful fillings inside. The dips and sides (herby green sauce, tangy tomato, olives, eggs) rounded it out beautifully—like the ultimate brunch spread in a box.

If you’re a fan of burekas—or even if you’ve never had one—this is a must-try. Comfort food at its absolute best!

I’ve been following bureka’s box since they announced their launch but this was my first time finally being able to try it out. I ordered online and chose delivery for convenience. The food arrived right on time and was just absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful, fresh, pastries, and so many pickles, olives, eggs, and sauces. Even after being transported, the crusts were flaky and delicious. We tried cheese, potato, and caramelized onion and mushroom. All so tasty! My favorite was the mushroom and caramelized onion, while my partner liked the potato the best, but the cheese was my close second. It was hard to decide which flavors to try and I plan to check out the other flavors with my next order. Love this new Wonderful Israeli/Middle Eastern food option here...
