We came here because the reviews mostly raved about how amazing the food was. We got the shami kebab, beef seekh kebab roll, chicken biryani and a milk tea. The shami kebab was a little chewy. And more oily than I would've liked. With the chutneys, it tasted better, but would've liked the minced beef minced better. The roll was very good. The kebab was good, the naan was soft and the accompanying tomatoes, onions, chillies and cilantro we're good additions. Again with the chutney, it tasted really good. Could've done with more spice. The biryani was ok. We have had better biryanis in San Diego. No faults, just not mouthwateringly outstandingly fantastic. The chicken was well cooked. But it tasted more like pulao than a biryani with attacking flavors. The tea was good. An extra 0.5 stars to our server, who was very sweet . The decor is welcoming and quite bright, which I liked.

Everything we ordered was packed with flavor. The Chicken Tikka Masala was phenomenal, i’d say between 8-10 pieces of chicken in the dish. We ordered both garlic and tandoori naan bread for the curry which were more crispy but still delicious. The beef seekh kebab was so flavorful, served over onions. The mango lassi was thick and creamy, great consistency and flavor. We also tried a cheesy curd dessert (can’t remember the name) which we were sort of fans of. It was sweet but had a curdled consistency. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here. The service was quick and efficient. We took some leftovers home (which were just as good the second time around). Looking forward to dining here again soon!

We've been watching so many travel vlogs during the pandemic, our biggest joy is trying some of the foods we see. We finally found an authentic Pakistani place, so we had to check it out! We got the beef nihari, which they slow cook for over 12 hours and the meat just falls apart. We also tried chicken reshmi boti, which looks like tandoori chicken but has totally different flavor and you squeeze lemon on it and eat it with naan and grilled onions. Also tried mutton (goat) karahi which is a kind of rich curry with super tender meat, not gamey at all. The food is so rich and hearty we have leftovers for at least 2 more meals for both of us! 😋🤤❤ #foodiesofsd @ Kebabish, San Diego

This place was disappointing, don't recommend at all. I left them a review on yelp didn't want to take it too far but I had to come to Google to show the kind of business this is, very unprofessional and rude. I have a screenshot of how the business owner/ manager responded to my review. I dined in with my fiance at this restaurant and we saw alot of grease on the food. We were even dumping some out in front of the waiter. When it came out it wasn't too bad, it just didn't have enough spices not heat but flavor. Not enough meat in the chicken tikka masala and other dish. We asked the owner if it was chicken breast and it was drumbsticks or thigh very fatty meat different sizes like chicken scraps. Mango lassi didn't taste rich with mango it bearly had mango mostly yogurt not sweet enough. The naan was alright it was probably the best thing they had. We asked to box our food so the waiter came and gave us boxes. We boxed it up warmed it up at out hotel the next morning since we ordered two different curries. It was beyond greasy we didn't realize how much oil was in it when we sat in the restaurant but after it being in a see through container it was like literally half full of oil the tupper it had separated from the tikka masala. My fiance even got sick. All the owner could of said was "Hope we can make it up to you" or "we're sorry you didn't like it" anything nice but instead he was petty and bashed the customer and was extremely rude. Im going to try to upload my pictures here. We are big foodies and connoisseurs we know what good food...

I used to go to another Pakistan restaurant (which is currently closed) whenever I visited San Diego. This time I decided to try Kababish, mainly because it is open in the afternoon unlike other desi restaurants that close between 2:30pm-5pm. A big shout out to the young lady who was running the show. She handled everything from taking the order, bringing the food to the table, delivering the check, taking the payment and then bussing the table. She did all of this while maintaining a friendly, attentive demeanor even when the restaurant was relatively busy. I ordered the Chicken Korma, Garlic Naan and a Mexican Coke. The Korma's taste reminded me of the authentic Mughlai-style kormas served in the restaurants (like Karims, Jawahar) near the Jama masjid in Old Delhi and the old establishments (like Shalimar, Noor Mohammadi) in/near Bhendi Bazaar in Mumbai. The Korma's quantity was good enough for one. The quality of the chicken used was very good. The Garlic naan was delicious too. The open kitchen (with a glass wall) offers a great view of the cooking process. I was seated at the first table as you enter the restaurant, which allowed me the opportunity to see the naan and korma being cooked right in front of my eyes. I confirm that there was no microwave involved in the process :-) All the food was made fresh by three different guys cooking the curries, kababs and naans. I would highly recommend this restaurant to folks looking for authentic, traditional desi Mughlai food. I will definitely be back whenever I am...

We had a really bad experience at this place. We ordered food ahead of time for dine in so we don’t have to wait while they cook the food for us. We gave the order on phone and told the person the exact time we will be arriving so the food is prepared accordingly. The person taking our order told us to not order naan then since it takes only 2 mins for them to get baked. We reached the restaurant within 5 mins of our mentioned time. The hygiene was questionable, none of the available tables were cleaned. We asked the server to clean one table for us but once he cleaned it the table reeked of bad smell. Anyhow we found a table to sit. The server gave us our food, which by the way, was already cold. We ordered the naans and the server said it will be out in 2 mins. In the next 15 mins the server gave naans to two other tables that came after us and one of the naan orders was ours which he mistakenly gave to the other table. After another 10 mins we reminded the server of our naans which he had forgotten about. Waiter was rude and attitude was unacceptable. Our experience was utter disappointment. Our chicken and beef kebab all went cold. He didn’t even accept the mistake. He just microwaved our food. Sorry will...
