Right beside the towering and imposing USS Midway, you will find a familiar scene... though you've probably only seen it in pictures during Remembrance Day. There is a super large statues of the most iconic picture signifying the celebrations for the war's end, you have the kiss between a sailor and a nurse. The statue must be at least 3 to 4 stories tall and it's often surrounded by tourist groups so good luck getting a good shot but it's possible.

The park itself is quite clean and open. You do have a lot of people nearby selling random trinkets or snacks. They don't bother you. The unfortunate homeless though do approach and ask for money. Most are respectful but just be aware of your surroundings.
