Hi Poke Seaport Village — Restaurant in San Diego

Tldr; OVERPRICED!

Was really looking forward to some good Poké, and this was just okay. There were quite a few protein options, including chicken, which took me quite bu surprise. I went for the ahi tuna, and made a salad bowl. The amount of greens they put was so miserly, and when I asked for some extra, they said I'd have to pay. I understand paying for extra base when it's rice, but you're charging me for extra greens? That's a bit absurd!

I didn't take any sauce since it's just empty calories, and I'm so glad I didn't. The friend I went with asked for some on his rice bowl, and when I looked at it, that rice was literally drenched in sauce! Not so skimpy on that now are they?!

The one thing I did like here was the cucumbers. They were on the lightly sweeter side and paired perfectly well with the Serrano peppers I added.

The overall price of a bowl itself here was also much higher than at other places I've been to. Definitely not...

The build your own bowl menu prices online still say $18.95, but when walking into the establishment today, they are, in fact, $20.95.

I understand the cost of doing business has increased, but my bowl was only half full with three proteins and the extra scoop of crab. I only received maybe 7 chips, which did not taste good. When I asked the employee if I could have a little extra toppings, she apologized and said they are not allowed to unless I want to pay extra. Very nice customer service, but I will not be returning. It's not worth the price, and for $23 all in, I'm still hungry.

This place is on point with both food, decor, and service! With many poke places around San Diego these days, Hi Poke is a modern poke spot that respects the authentic flavors of ingredients. very pleasantly happy with my choices of poke bowl combo, what is especially wonderful is the quality of rice they use here. If anyone's into food as much as I am, you would know that rice in any "sushi" dish is just as important for the experience. Hi Poke does a great job caring for the quality of experience while providing clean and enjoyable environment. I'll be walking by for a quick delicious meal again soon!
