I'm giving 2 stars for the excellent admin staff, the uniqueness of the building, and the price. Otherwise, renting from this landlord and in this building was a horrible experience. My initial impression of the building was that it was nice, but needed a good bit of upgrading (old carpeting & paint; somewhat shabby look overall). The landlord made a great first impression, but it turned out that he made promises he did not keep and misrepresented the operations overall. He was rude and unresponsive in general after move-in.
Although the building has 24/7 access, it's not available for conducting business with clients after hours for multiple reasons. The waiting room is closed after 5:00, which means that clients have to wait in the lobby areas/hallways where there are no lights and no climate control. It's an open air building, which is a unique idea, but if it's raining, cold, or very hot clients are waiting in that weather after hours- in the dark after sundown. The kitchen is locked and off limits after 5:00 in several of the executive suites. One of the biggest frustrations is that the landlord refuses to allow air conditioning or heat after hours. He even removes the thermostats from the walls, making it impossible to conduct business during hot or very cold weather.
The common areas are dirty and were never cleaned even after I let him know that several clients had complained. Janitorial is only available 2x/week. They come early in the evening, so again, if you conduct business after hours you'll either be interrupted or passed over if your door is closed.
The walls are paper thin- and I mean paper thin. One not only hears all the hallway sounds, but also their neighbors' voices- every word that is said.
The landlord ended up charging me for things he said would be free. If you sign a lease here, make sure to get every single little detail about everything in writing.
In summary, you get what you pay for. It seems to be a great experience for professionals who either do not conduct business with the public from their office, or only do so during business hours and do not have a need to make a good impression on...
Read moreWe love our office space here at the WaterGarden. It’s in a perfect location with easy access to the 805 along with great food options within walking distance. Greg and Tanya are always pleasant to chat with.
We’ve been here just about a year and there’s really not much to complain about. The pricing is competitive and there’s been a lot of maintenance that’s been performed just in the past 6 months, including repaving the parking lot (which is free with abundant parking!) along with various painting and cleaning projects being performed. The building itself has a nice aura about it when you walk in with the waterfall and the plants. It makes you feel like you are in the tropics. Sometimes I walk around the building just to clear my head.
I’m currently trying to convince Greg to see if it makes sense for him to provide access to EV charging. If he can make that work, then I’d be in heaven. Come check this place out.. It’s worth...
Read moreMy business is Advantu, we are San Diego's Premier Software Quality Firm, and we've enjoyed our location (here at WaterGarden Business Center) since 2014.
The offices are furnished, the staff is super supportive and the service is very professional - first rate!
My Office is on the 3rd Floor - we love having all the kitchen amenities just around the corner, and since I like to run at lunch, the shower facilities are sincerely appreciated.
Greg & Tanya are very helpful, especially when I wanted to try different furniture and setting up my office for maximum productivity - and of course, because we host conferences and events - having access to their conference center is beyond words an amazing benefit to this facility.
I highly recommend WGBC to any business owner!
Call me a happy customer!
