Middle Lake — Attraction in San Francisco

Middle Lake is so back. The trail around the lake is open, and there’s a serpentine path that leads up to the casting pools. It’s totally revitalized the area and made Chain of Lakes so much nicer. How far things have come in the last year from the dry lake.

Update March 2023: Middle Lake is under renovation. May it one day be wet again!

Update October 2023: They’ve dug the whole thing out and made a few mounds in the middle. It looks like it’s mostly done.

Update March 2024: The lake is looking pretty good and wet, though a bit dusty around the perimeter. The whole thing is fenced off still. I can’t wait for it reopen!

Impressive! Move over Stow Lake, a new lake boss is poised to take over San Francisco. Middle Lake is still being prepared for its official opening, but it is taking form and is very impressive in terms of layout and landscaping.
