Updates: The chocolate chip cookies are actually so good that I have daydreamed about getting them again since I finished my first one. I like them so much I've been planning my week around getting back to Day Moon to get another. The baguette is really top notch. After getting it and devouring it for the second time, I've decided that we need to buy them two at a time in our family -- one for the drive/walk home, and one for later. Tried the cocoa carrot cake and it was very surprising and good.
Original review: Home-runs that I'll be daydreaming about for a while: Baguette: It was warm and delicious. We devoured the whole thing on our walk home. The crust had the perfect crisp/crunch and the inside was soft. I think it was whole wheat sourdough. Strawberry scone: It was a totally different texture than the scones I'm used to. Signs did not say gluten free so I was expecting a traditional wheat flour taste and texture.
However, everything did look beautiful and the shop itself is very...

All of the hype is certainly deserved as Day Moon can bake both good bread and pastries. I had a Pear Hazelnut Cake and a plain Sesame Bun and would undoubtedly get both again, but I definitely want to try their full loaves of bread next...
