This park is a fantastic place to run the kids, provided dog owners clean up after their animals in the grassy areas. An a.azing two-story cable-rope climbing structure, tire swing, merry-go-round, and see-saw for bigger kids, and a small elevated clubhouse with a slide, ladder, and curly vertical pole for smaller children. This park has bathrooms (which are usually, mostly clean) and a rec-center/school on site, as well as a beautiful community garden near the back (which is locked unless someone is working within). The only things to be wary of are crowds in the summer (from summer programs flooding the park), the hole in the fence behind the shed in the garden, and taco-truck across the street which serves up some of the tastiest meat you will find in the Mission. Read moreTo be frank, the real reason to like this little neighborhood park (which is not mentioned on the website) is that it is one of a limited number of city parks equipped with public restrooms. Modest but functional, in a city with few public restroom facilities for anyone off the street. The next nearest public access toilet within a mile would have to be at one of the churches during normal business hours.
