Disappointing I like the prices but most of the food in here is expired the dates on all the foods ,the food in the freezer like the hash browns and juices in the bottle ,breads and cookies are way past the expiration date I don't want to get sick or anyone else to get sick I called to tell the manager at the store I didn't get her name I'm.sure she knows about this .she seemed bkot to care at all rushed me off the phone when calling her and didn't even apologize for this .I come here to buy a lot of stuff I spend lot of money I expect food to be in the range of date at least 2 months out from a expiration date theres food in this store that is from July 2025 or months we already past still with these old dates on the side of the box or product that's gross .come on grocery outlet you can do better than this that's kinda cheating out the customer not to mention the salads are very old looking not fresh I notice the older man that works in the salads area is very rude and nasty if you ask him a question but if a very young girl goes by he starts watching her like he never seen a girl before then he's nice he disrespects older women and women .he's older himself he should have some respect the staff here are not friendly in general but once in a great while you'll get a nice cashier only if your lucky .I can't come here anymore if things...
Read moreI used to really love going here but I feel like they take advantage of the customers. Something starts at a great price (say, cherry kombucha), maybe $2. You think, “This is great! I’m going back for more!” But now it’s $3. OK, one thinks, still cheaper than TJs. But next time it’s $4 or $4.50, sometimes even more than TJs. So much for that. Popcorn is cheaper at Walgreens. Except for one, checkers are almost always ignoring you to the point of rudeness. They used to have a LOT better deals but now I seem to ring up more than TJs, and it’s far less healthy food. They used to have interesting, fine cheeses— anyone for a nice Wensleydale with blueberries?—now they are twice the price, and the Wensleydale and friends have disappeared. The best sections are the dairy sections. Various milks for various prices, most of them the neglected unsweetened variety. But a lot of interesting options. The 1/2 gal. Organic 2% milk is higher than TJs! However, they do have a really interesting ice cream dep’t. Stay away from the frozen food, that’s a tasteless waste of money. Why are they charging so much for the bread? And so on. Now I go out of my way to shop at the Grocery Outlet on Silver Ave in The Portola. That store is cheaper, cleaner and the employees are far more friendly. If you are charging TJs prices, bring up the...
Read moreI've been a loyal customer of the Grocery Bargain Outlet for the past four years, often shopping there 3-4 times a week. However, my recent experience has left me traumatized, disappointed and deeply saddened. Today, as I walked out the door, I was falsely accused of theft by other customers, which led to security approaching me. Despite providing my receipt, the situation escalated when a store manager aggressively intervened, insisting on a different receipt and implying mine was incorrect. The situation became even more distressing when the manager forcefully grabbed the bag from my hand, causing physical harm. This incident was not only traumatic for me but also for my 8-year-old son, who witnessed his mother being mistreated. As a result, my previously healing injury has worsened, leaving me in more pain, at a loss for words and feeling deeply embarrassed. I firmly believe that I was racially profiled and unfairly mistreated. This experience has shattered my trust in a store I once loved and left me questioning its commitment to customer...
