Just had my son's 9th birthday party here. It was expensive -- around $2000 for food, and 90 min of bowling for 25 kids and some parents. At this price point I expect top notch service and delivery.
Pros: The food was good. Bowling was pretty turnkey.
Cons: Our party was at noon. They said we could arrive 10 min early to set up. We arrived 10 min early and waited out side until someone finally let us in after they opened. Our guests had arrived as well so I had to set up while everyone was trying to get started bowling (8-9 year olds aren't that independent). I was told I couldn't bring any drinks or snacks of my own, so I had ordered pitchers of apple juice and orange ahead of time. They didn't bring them out until maybe 45 minutes into the party and I had to ask them where it was. Their pizza ovens only cook 4 pizzas at a time. I ordered 5, and they were cooking other guests' pizzas first, I guess. So the two cheese pizzas which of course all the kids wanted, didn't come out until there was maybe 30 min of the party left. It was pretty rushed because they made us exit the bowling area ASAP when bowling time was up. I set up dessert and cake in the cafe area. They said they would help clean up. Well, they did... and dumped the entire veggie platter (over $100) that was hardly touched as well as a garden salad (also over $100) that I was planning to take home since it had not been eaten.
Prior to the party, I had asked if I need to bring knives to cut the big cake. They said quote "No we have all of that here, including knives and cake servers." Great. Well, when I asked for utensils to cut cake today, they gave me a BUTTER KNIFE and a SPATULA. I had to basically demolish the beautiful custom made cake in order to serve it. Literally scooping out pieces with a spatula and plastic fork.
I won't be having a birthday...
Read moreWe have been holding an annual bowling tournament here for 12 years and this special place of fun, laughter and great food, has just gotten better and better every year under the direction of Victor Meyerhoff. His team is always professional, gracious, and accommodating. It is like "coming home to family" when we return. Arranging a special party here is a great experience for all of your guests. Love their new chef, Kevin! His BBQ'd pork shoulder and tri tip are simply delicious. They are so earnest in keeping track of the scores to create a flawless event. If I could give them ten stars, I would. Just remember to call in advance for your booking, whether it is a party of two or two hundred. You will "glow" from having had such a...
Read moreIf you like bowling this place is really cool. Pretty good food, good alchoholic drinks. It is a little pricey but what isn't now a days? I came here today with my friends (04/16/23) to celebrate one of their birthdays. We had fun except our lane kept bugging out on us 3 times. Kinda killed the mood since we had to ask the workers to fix it about 3 times. My friends and I didn't ask for a discount because we're not those type of people and don't like being them, I especially don't since I work in a restaurant and it's weird for me. I mean we'll still come back of course, I've been here multiple times. But besides that we had fun. Just be patient with the workers if something like...
