Used to be a decent ¥100 store, but you know, inflation 📈🙄. Not quite as upscale as セリア, but they don't have those here in the US. Now it's more like ¥261 ($1.75). Sort losing on with these exchange rates. They do have some Japanese products, and then maybe some local cheap cleaning supplies you'd also find at the 99¢ Only Store. As of my last visit however, it feels like there's more mainland China branded products, or faux Japanese products from Taiwan. I get it, profit margins and all, but it doesn't feel the same. Sort lost its initial luster, but still worth visiting for some things. Just make sure to look carefully at the tags.

Best Daiso in the LA area! Huge with free parking. Daiso is a Japanese dollar store that's particularly known for great quality. It's especially great if you're looking for something Japanese and specialized (wooden pudding spoons, replacement bento elastic bands, Japanese chawan bowls, ginger graters, etc). They carry a lot of stuff exclusive to them and not just discounted big name brands. I love the travel and camping sections for really random little things you'd never think of. Also great for crafts (washi tape, origami) and gift bags.

My go to for adorable "Japanese" stationary and stuff I don't need. Store feels fancy, well lite, and clean. It's an high end dollar tree store with different daily essentials, small gadgets, make up, crafting supply, etc. Everything is $1.50 unless marked. Was hoping to find some paint pens, which they did, but it was in one color only, gold. They did carry poster markers that almost fooled me to believe them to be Posca... LoL

Every Daiso Japan has it's own uniqueness and wide selection of goods. This Daiso Japan of course, will cater to the Chinese crowd. They have more things that Chinese people would want to buy, use, own. There are tons of stuff I see here that other Daiso's don't carry which is fine since I make trips to San Gabriel almost frequently. My father had said that this is like 99 cent store, but it's all about the packaging and arrangement which makes Daiso Japan better than the 99 cent store. I hope I can reference that. Daiso Japan has anything from hats, gloves for the winter, brooms, ear buds, snacks, drinks, etc. So far they don't have food. But that's ok, you can always buy the ramen there they have that's ready to cook in hot water. Daiso Japan, the mecca of shopping for those who are on a budget and want to feel like they are shopping in a Japanese store. Sometimes I feel like I'm in Tokyo Shopping. Ahhh!!!...
