Friend had recommended the breakfast at JJ Cafe years ago. “To-go” was the only option at that time and sometimes you just want to sit down to enjoy breakfast served hot.

This cafe inside the bakery offers dine-in option. Ordered the “Specialty Fried Pork Chop noodle soup” which is amazingly delicious: two pieces of thick pork chops are lightly salted and the taste of noodle soup is amazingly in traditional Taiwan street noodle soup 陽春麵 style in bone broth with taste of radish and perfect sprinkles of white pepper powder.

Since the closing of Taichung Harbor 台中港餐廳(Alhambra), 老鄉親, Good Taste 味佳 (Monterey Park), and the latest TenRen 天仁(Alh), it is hard to find authentic Taiwanese “street style noodle soup” 陽春麵 in San Gabriel valley. JJ Cafe has excelled itself and gone above and beyond a bakery to serve tasty food in the same establishment!

The best things in life are spongy and sweet and not counting calories. JJ Bakery and Café is a Taiwanese family owned bakery offering traditional Asian breads, cakes, desserts and food. They have other six locations in SGV and Hawaii. This location is in Temple City; situated in a large plaza. I rarely eat cakes or desserts but today was the last day of 2021. I came to get some cakes. I ordered a variety of cake slices and sweets are as follows: Cream Puff, Creme Brullee, Sponge Cake, Mango Mousse, Chocolate 2x, and French Latte. They all look delicious and delightful and sparkling to my eyes. Moreover, I love how soft and not overwhelming in sweetness. I can surmise they maintained a high quality products at a very affordable price.

This store location was clean, organized and well lit. Customer service was on point. Staff were cordial, competent and followed health protocol. Parking was easy. Overall, I enjoyed all my cakes and sweets. I recommend...
