This lady was extremely RUDE! I asked her a simple question if she knew how much an item was. She completely ignored me. I assumed she didn't hear me so I attempted to ask a couple more times. Again, she ignored me. Please note I asked her nicely. The customer in front of me looked at her confused as to why she was being rude. The lady then proceeded to roll her eyes and said rudely, "move over here!". I asked the lady at the next registered and she kindly gave me the price. My lady cashier then said in Chinese "how does she not know the price and had to be annoying by asking me!". First off, I understand Chinese and definitely do not appreciate her talking smack assuming I didn’t understand Chinese. Secondly, there was no price otherwise I wouldn't have asked! I told my cashier lady that she was being mean and rude. She turned to me and accused ME of being rude. I don't understand how asking a question was being rude. She then continued verbally assaulting me by calling me rude and announced loudly to other customers saying I was rude. I told her to please bring up the footages and asked her to stop talking to me. She continued verbally assaulting me up until I walked away. I had to endure all her verbal insults because I didn’t want to walk away and leave my groceries after spending an hour shopping. In addition, her supervisor just laughed didn't even do anything. The supervisor just told her in Chinese to let it go but obviously the lady cashier was too stubborn to stop verbally assaulting me. That lady cashier probably felt like she can step on anyone she wants. She need to learn to not run her mouth. I hope this market handle this issue quickly otherwise they will keep losing customers. Losing a bad employee is better than losing business. Get rid...
Read moreYesterday, my husband bought 10 bags of sunflower seeds at this supermarket, priced at $3.79 each, totaling $37.90. Today, he opened one bag, and it wasn’t crispy at all. I opened another, and not only was it stale, but many seeds tasted moldy and bitter.
I double-checked the expiration dates and was shocked to find that 3 out of the 10 bags were expired. The expiration date was November 27, 2024, but we purchased them on December 18, 2024.
Consuming expired and moldy food poses serious health risks, including food poisoning, stomach discomfort, and even exposure to harmful toxins produced by mold, such as aflatoxins, which can lead to severe illness.
We live over an hour’s drive from this store, so returning the items is not an option. I’m leaving this review to warn others that this supermarket is unreliable. Always check the expiration dates carefully when shopping...
Read moreI had a very unpleasant experience at this market due to both poor cleanliness and terrible customer service. The store was not well-maintained, with dirty floors and an overall lack of hygiene. However, what stood out the most was the rude attitude of the cashier.
Instead of being helpful or polite, the cashier was dismissive and unfriendly, making me feel unwelcome as a customer. When I asked a simple question, I was met with an irritated response and impatience. There was no basic courtesy, let alone good customer service.
With so many other Asian markets in the San Gabriel area that offer a much better shopping experience, I do not recommend this place. Management seriously needs to train staff on proper customer service and ensure a cleaner, more welcoming...
