Yoyo Nail & Lash — Attraction in San Jose

Update 2024. This place used to be good, the past year after changing owner the quality of the service has been inconsistent. I used to go every 2-3 weeks and now I go every once a blue moon and each time my nails don’t last over a week. The gel mani usually starts chipping at day 5 and pedicure the next day. I never bothered to go back to fix coz owner tends to make it your problem. Last week spent like a hundred and both mani and pedi started chipping next day. I will prolly no longer go back, sorry. I asked the friends I referred to this nail place the past two years why they stopped going, same reason as mine :( it’s become waste of money. My mani pedi used to easily last for over a month and still perfect. Another issue is that she doesn’t paint all the way to the root which always leaves my nails look funny and shorter XD (yes it takes extra effort to do that)

First, massage with the hot rocks was so rough! Especially over my bony ankles. Not relaxing at all.

The worst part though was the nail polish. My daughter and I both just wanted regular polish and it felt like we were getting major side eye for not doing gel. I don't know if it is the polish they use or the application but for both of us it was SO thick and multiple coats applied. Even after waiting like 30 minutes for it to dry, it kept smudging and getting imprints from anything that touched it.

My daughters toes smudged even after waiting prob an hour for them to dry. When we went to get it fixed they just painted another coat over it without fixing any of the smudging. The lady doing the nails made a snarky comment about how thats the problem with not doing gel.
