As a small business owner passionate about vintage, I was deeply disappointed by my experience with this market and its owner. Despite presenting a well-curated selection of quality items, I was quickly dismissed as a vendor without any real opportunity to showcase the full scope of my offerings.
What’s most frustrating is that the decision seemed to be made based solely on personal judgment, not the actual value or uniqueness of my inventory. There was no genuine dialogue, no request for more details or samples—just an abrupt rejection. This kind of gatekeeping not only discourages new vendors, but also undermines the diversity and spirit that vintage markets are supposed to foster.
It’s disheartening to see a space that claims to support creatives and small businesses operate with such a narrow and exclusionary mindset. A truly inclusive market should be open to discovering fresh talent, not pre-judging vendors based on surface impressions or assumptions.
If you're a vendor looking to be part of a welcoming, open-minded community—this may not be the right place for you. Hopefully, the organizers will reevaluate how they treat prospective vendors and start focusing more on collaboration...
