We had 2 single day passes and decided while in the park to start purchasing single use fast lane passes for many individual rides. The fast lane service met expectations for all of the rides we bought them for, except for the last ride we did which was Top Thrill 2. I purchased the passes via phone app, and then the kiosk to print the paper copies was broken, so we were asked to walk all the way to Camp Snoopy to print out the passes (since you are not allowed to bring your phone through the queue.) Upon returning back to the queue entrance, the fast lane scanner broke down. After finally being let through, we were now side by side with the regular line, and began to notice that the regular line was moving at a rate 2-3x faster than the Fast Lane line. This is not what you expect to see when you just paid an extra $75 to wait for less time than the regular line. We then went to the Guest Services area at the front of the park after the ride and explained the situation to the employees there. The first words out of supervisor Nathan's mouth were, "Do you have any documentation of the incident?" To which I replied, "How would I possibly be able to document any of that when we're forced to lock up our phones before getting in the line?" Nathan then became very condescending and refused to offer a refund for the service that we did not get. He just repeated that he, "checked the wait times," even though we tried to explain that the wait times he was saying to us is not what we just experienced in real life. At the end, he just gave us a strange blank stare and we said, "So you're not going to help us?" To which he replied, "That's correct." Someone like Nathan should not be trusted to adequately handle guest complaints, and at the end of the day, we had an extremely reasonable request: refund us for services that were...
Read moreYesterday, my family and I went to Cedar Point for my daughters birthday present. Upon looking online, it said they offered a military discount with an ID me account. My fiance didn't want to put his personal information on there, so we figured we would get a military discount at the gate. Boy, was I wrong. Tickets for the military online were $54.99. We paid $96 per person at the gate. Ok, fine. Then we get in the gate, and there are no big roller coasters running. So we rode the carousel and the old cars and waited for coasters to open. Then, once they opened.. they only ran for an hour and closed due to inclement weather. It was barely sprinkling, and the wind was about the same. We thrn went to the hay bale mazes... they could not do the small maze with the peddle cars due to weather.. are you kidding me? We ended up walking in circles, waiting for rides to start again! They didn't. We went to guest services to see about a "rain check" or something. No. The ladies inside were very rude. Said next time, maybe just put your personal information online, and that wouldn't happen again. They don't care about the military, especially if the discount jumps from 54 online to 96 at the gate. That is ridiculous!! Great way to support those soldiers and everything they've sacrificed to go to war for you people. Thank you so much for a wasted $400 just to walk in the gate and walk in circles for 4 hours. They obviously don't support the military or care about your guests. Next time, I'll check out kennywood. They offer rain checks. And so do other...
Read moreWe were treated very poorly at the Steel Vengeance ride.
This ride is enforcing a no carry anything on pockets empty metal detector scan have to rent a locker to ride policy
The location is in a way that the rail tracks dump hoards of people out in its lap when the train crossing opens. You get shuffled to the entrance only to be yelled at by disgruntled entrance workers trying to manage the mob of angry people that have to go get a locker because of the sunglasses on their head.
Nope can't put them in your pockets either you must get a locker. It was a very bad look for the park. I have a bad taste in my mouth from the way they yelled at others in front of us. I wished they somehow prepped us for this . First time I ever went through a metal detector before a ride.
Also on another coaster they stopped the ride to take people's phones away that had them out and kicked them out after the ride. That was pretty cool to see they actually enforce it but even then they we felt bad because they were rude to the whole train when they stopped us even though we didn't do anything. Wish the customer service was better. Never had it...
