UPDATE: This was our second time to Cedar Point, and we got to ride the Ferris Wheel at night. It was Saturday, so obviously, there was a big crowd, but the ride operators handled it well. The park was nearing closing time. In fact, the park closed while we were on. However, we had an extended ride, and everyone that was in line after continued to board. That was awesome, and they were all so nice about it. It was a perfect cap to a day. The lights, the colors, the rides in action, the boats out in Lake Erie, the boardwalk, and the beach, it was electric. The surroundings reminded us of the amusement park in Santa Cruz, and it was awesome to get that experience in Ohio of all places. This alone was worth the long 4-hour drive home in the middle of the night. This was our first time visiting and was one of the highlights. As others have said, loading and unloading of riders can be slow but there was not a wait. This is one of the few rides you can get good views of the park and lake without going to fast or having something else obstruct your view.
